Plas John Johnson Jr. (born July 21, 1931) is an American soul-jazz and hard bop tenor saxophonist, probably most widely known as the tenor saxophone soloist on Henry Mancini’s "The Pink Panther Theme". He also performs on alto and baritone sax as well as various flutes and clarinets. Biography Born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, United States, he sang with his family's group until his saxophonist father bought him a soprano saxophone. Largely self-taught, he soon began playing alto saxophone, alto and later tenor saxophone. Adrian Plass (born 1948) is a British author and speaker who writes primarily Christian humour, but also short stories, Bible commentaries and novels with a more serious tone. His most popular books are a series concerning ''The Sacred Diary of Adrian Plass'' which is a humorous, fictional satire of Christian life and which has sold over a million copies worldwide. Early life Plass was born in Tunbridge Wells. He worked as a residential child care worker with disadvantaged children for several years before suffering a breakdown and then embarking on a career as a writer. The first thing he ever published was "The Visit", a novella in which a fictional local church in England is visited by Jesus (published in England originally as part of the short stories collection ''The Final Boundary'', but as a standalone illustrated edition in 1999). Thierry Patrick Plas (born 1959) is a Belgian guitarist, first known as lead guitarist and co-songwriter for the Belgian rock group Machiavel. Since 1992, Plas composes and produces also soundtracks for the film and advertising industry at ZOO Productions Company. Biography At the age of 21, he joined Machiavel at a time when the band was going through fundamental (personnel) changes, and looking for a new direction. This led to more of a hard rock sound, combined with greater maturity and simplicity, culminating in the hit single "Fly" from their 1980 album "New Lines". Florjan Mumajesi (; born 23 August 1982), known professionally as Flori, is an Albanian recording artist, composer, producer, and singer. Born and raised in Tirana, Mumajesi began his career at an early age and rose to significant recognition after his participations in Kënga Magjike and his eventual win in 2018. He resumed his earlier career in 2011 with his debut studio album "Detaj" which incorporated musical elements from all of his previous records. Mumajesi established his own record label "Threedots" with whom he produced more than a dozen records for many recording artists across Albania and the Balkans. The Plass was an American vehicle manufactured in 1895 by Reuben H Plass. Background Reuben Hopkins Plass was born in Hudson, New York around the year 1840. At the beginning of the Civil War on 26 April 1861, he was a Lieutenant in Company A of the 7th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment. After serving for a few months, on 3 June, he returned to work for his father, John T. Plass, during the war making cannon and gun blocks. He claimed to have built his first car in the 1860s. He held patents from 1869 for a velocipede and 1874 for a gas governor. After the war, Plass and his father manufactured bandsaws. Between 1893 and 1895, Plass unsuccessfully sought appointment as a Consul-General to Cuba. In 1897, Plass invented a luminous lifeline for night use in sea rescues. By January 1899, Plass was bankrupt. In June, he was present at the forming of the Automobile Club of America. Roald Dahl Plass is a public space in Cardiff Bay, Cardiff, Wales. It is named after Cardiff-born author Roald Dahl, and is located on the coast along the south of the city centre. The square is home to the Senedd building housing the Senedd, the Welsh parliament, and the Wales Millennium Centre, a performing arts centre. The bowl-like shape of the space has made it a popular amphitheatre for hosting open-air concerts. Formerly named the Oval Basin and known as the Bowl, the area was one of the docks for a thriving coal port during the latter half the 19th century and much of the 20th century. Following World War II, the space entered a period of decay and dereliction until the 1980s, when the Cardiff Bay area was regenerated.
