Planegg
Planegg is a municipality in the district of Munich, in Bavaria, Germany. It is located on the river Würm, 13 km west of Munich (centre). Economy Koch Media has its head office in Planegg. It also hosts many biotech-companies, like ADVA Optical Networking, GPC Biotech, MediGene and MorphoSys. In addition, the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology and the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry are located in the section of Martinsried. Furthermore, Astelco optical systems, a manufacturer of space systems is located in Planegg. Education There are two primary schools, the ''Grundschule Planegg'' and the ''Grundschule Martinsried'', as well as the senior high school Feodor-Lynen-Gymnasium Planegg. Feodor-Lynen-Gymnasium Planegg
The Feodor-Lynen-Gymnasium Planegg (in short FLG or Feo) is a government secondary school in Planegg in the German state of Bavaria and belongs to the mathematical-scientific category of gymnasia but also has an economic educational branch. In April 2021 950 pupils attend the FLG, with a staff of approximately 69. Location and traffic connections The school is located in the eastern part of the municipality of Planegg on Feodor-Lynen-Street. Martinsried
Martinsried is one of Munich's two science suburbs. It is a section of Planegg municipality in the district of Munich in Bavaria, Germany. Martinsried is best known as the location of the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology and the accompanying biotechnology campus, which actually straddles the Munich/Planegg border. The campus is adjacent to the Großhadern hospital campus, housing most of the Faculty of Medicine of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. The Faculty of Chemistry and a part of the Biology Faculty of the university also relocated to this new campus in 1999 and 2005. Würm
The Würm is a river in Bavaria, Germany, right tributary of the Amper. The length of the river is , or including the ''Steinbach'', the main feed of Lake Starnberg. It drains the overflow from Lake Starnberg and flows swiftly through the villages of Gauting, Krailling, Planegg, Gräfelfing and Lochham as well as part of Munich (in the borough of Pasing) before joining, near Dachau, the Amper, which soon afterwards flows into the Isar and eventually flowing into the Danube. Although the Würm is not a very large river, it is well known as it gave its name to the Würm glaciation. A small man-made channel extracts water from the river at Pasing to feed the water features at Nymphenburg Palace, before flowing on to join the Isar at the public park Englischer Garten in Munich. Meylan (; frp, Mèlan) is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France. It is part of the Grenoble urban unit (agglomeration).
