Pittsburgh Hearts
''Pittsburgh Hearts'' is the third and last in the Trilogy of Terror, a series of three EPs by Pittsburgh alternative hip hop duo, Grand Buffet. It's the first release on which they're credited by their real names. On previous releases, they had used a variety of stage names. The credits of back of the album's artwork, Jarrod announces that he has a daughter named Sugar Marie Weeks. The final track "Thank You. Goodbye. We'll Die." is an outro. It is where they discuss the album and diss various business. They manage to use the word "fuck" 47 times in a little under 3 minutes. This was first album in the trilogy, to not have a hidden track. It is also their last album to have a parental advisory label on the front cover. Grand Buffet
Grand Buffet is a hip-hop funk duo from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, made up of Jackson O'Connell-Barlow (stage names: Iguanadon, Grape-a-Don, Plaps, Nate Kukla, and Mr. Pennsylvania) and Jarrod Weeks (stage names: M-Dog, Lord Grunge, Viceroy, Matt Kukla, Fred Durts). Their music is a unique brand of humorous, often satirical rap. They have toured several times with notable artists such as Gil Mantera's Party Dream, Sage Francis, Of Montreal, Cex, Sole, Magnolia Electric Co., Streetlight Manifesto, and the late Wesley Willis. Alternative Hip Hop
Alternative hip hop (also known as alternative rap) is a subgenre of hip hop music that encompasses a wide range of styles that are not typically identified as mainstream. AllMusic defines it as comprising " hip hop groups that refuse to conform to any of the traditional stereotypes of rap, such as gangsta, bass, hardcore, and party rap. ''Cigarette Beach'' is the second in the Trilogy of Terror, a series of three EPs by Pittsburgh alternative hip hop duo Grand Buffet. Although no singles were released, three songs later appeared on the compilation album ''Five Years Of Fireworks'': "Oh My God You're Weird!", "Matt And Nate", and "Murderfuck". ''Trilogy of Terror'' is a 1975 American made-for-television anthology horror film directed by Dan Curtis and starring Karen Black. It features three segments, each based on unrelated short stories by Richard Matheson. The first follows a college professor who seeks excitement with her students; the second is about twin sisters who have a bizarre relationship. These two segments were adapted by William F. Nolan.
