Pittsburgh Forge
The Pittsburgh Forge are a defunct Junior A Tier II ice hockey team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which played in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). The team was founded in 2001 by Kevin Constantine, a former coach of the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins. They played at the Island Sports Center. The team compiled an 80-24-8 record in the first and only two seasons. The Forge were finalists in the Robertson Cup Tournament, the NAHL championship, during their inaugural season and were the first expansion team to do so. During their second season, the Forge set a national Junior A record with 43 wins and won the NAHL's regular season championship as well as the Robertson Cup Tournament. In two seasons, the Forge advanced 18 players onto scholarships with Division I college hockey programs. Robertson Cup
The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is one of the top junior hockey leagues in the United States and is in its 48th season of operation in 2022–23. It is the only Tier II junior league sanctioned by USA Hockey, and acts as an alternative to the Tier I United States Hockey League (USHL). The NAHL is one of the oldest junior hockey leagues in the United States and is headquartered in Addison, Texas. The teams span the United States from Maine in the East to Alaska in the Northwest and to Texas in the South. The teams play a 60-game regular season, starting in mid-September and ending in early April. The top teams of the NAHL playoffs meet in a predetermined location to play in the Robertson Cup Championship Tournament. Dylan Reese
Dylan Paul Reese (born August 29, 1984) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. He last played with HV71 in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Early life Reese, who is Jewish, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the son of Barry and Marcie Reese, grandson of Rita Reese and Agnes and Richard Hornak, and has a brother named Evan. He attended Upper St. Clair High School. Playing career Reese was drafted in 2000, in round 16 (#323 overall) by Belleville Bulls in the OHL Priority Selection. Peter Mannino
Peter "Son" Mannino (born February 17, 1984) is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender and current assistant coach for the Colorado College Tigers. He played six games in the National Hockey League for the New York Islanders, Atlanta Thrashers, and the Winnipeg Jets. Playing career As a youth, Mannino played in the 1998 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Detroit Honeybaked minor ice hockey team. Mannino later played as a goaltender for the University of Denver where he led the Pioneers to the 2005 NCAA Championship and Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League where he helped them win the Anderson Cup in 2004. The Robert Morris University Island Sports Center (abbreviated RMU Island Sports Center) is a sports complex located in the Pittsburgh suburb of Neville Island, Pennsylvania, Neville Island in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States.
