Pissed And Proud
''Pissed and Proud'' is an album of live recordings by English punk rock band Peter and the Test Tube Babies. It was originally released in 1982 on No Future Records and was recorded at three venues – Hammersmith, Wood Green, and their hometown, Brighton – during the August bank holiday of 1982. Although previously the band had released a raft of singles, this was their first full-length album and was followed up by ''Mating Sounds of South American Frogs'' – their first full-length studio album – in 1983. This album includes a cover version of "I'm the Leader of the Gang" – a Gary Glitter song from 1973. Many of these songs in their studio form were re-released on Anagram Records' compilation, ''The Punk Singles Collection'' in 1995. In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover, is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song. Originally, it referred to a version of a song released around the same time as the original in order to compete with it. Now, it refers to any subsequent version performed after the original. Barry Sage
Barry Sage is a British sound engineer and producer, currently living in Santiago, Chile. Sage has worked with a variety of British and Latin American acts, including the Rolling Stones, Boy George, Pet Shop Boys, Nicole and Charly García. Career Sage began his career as a tea boy at Trident Studios in London, later going on to be a tape operator assisting Elton John and Queen, among others. Rolling Stones Initially as the assistant to Chris Kimsey, Sage worked with the Rolling Stones twice, in 1978 (on ''Some Girls'') and 1981 (''Tattoo You''). Particularly given the drug-use scandal hanging over Keith Richards at the time, the period was frenetic. Michael George Farr (30 June 1941 – 18 April 1996), known professionally as Mike Leander, was a British arranger, songwriter and record producer. He worked variously with The Beatles, David McWilliams ("Days of Pearly Spencer"), Gary Glitter, the Rolling Stones, Brian Jones, Marianne Faithfull, Andrew Loog Oldham, Joe Cocker, Billy Fury, Marc Bolan, Small Faces, Van Morrison, Alan Price, Peter Frampton, Keith Richards, Shirley Bassey, Lulu, Jimmy Page, Roy Orbison, Ben E. Peter and the Test Tube Babies are an English punk rock band, formed in the small town of Peacehaven, England in 1978, by Derek "Strangefish" Greening and Peter Bywaters.
