Pippie (foaled 13 October 2015) is a multiple Group 1 winning Australian bred thoroughbred racehorse. Background Pippie was bred at Eureka Stud in Cambooya, Queensland and later sold through the 2017 Inglis Classic Yearling sale in Sydney. She was purchased for A$60,000 by her trainer John Meagher. Racing career 2017/18: two-year-old season Pippie made her race debut on the 5 July 2018 in a 1,000 metre race at Cranbourne. Taken straight to the front by jockey Noel Callow, Pippie streaked away from her rivals to win by 5 lengths. 2018/19: three-year-old season On 4 August 2018, Pippie contested a 1,000 metre handicap for three year old fillies at Moonee Valley. Written Tycoon (foaled 6 September 2002) is a stakes winning Australian Thoroughbred racehorse and successful sire who has sired multiple Group 1 winners. Racing career Written Tycoon commenced his race career with an easy win at Randwick as a pronounced 7/4 favourite. Two weeks later, he was narrowly beaten by filly Fashions Afield at Randwick. Fashions Afield would later frank the form in claiming the Sires' Produce Stakes and Reisling Stakes. Written Tycoon then recorded his only other career victory when winning the Todman Stakes at Rosehill. Written Tycoon was retired as a four-year old after finishing unplaced in the Challenge Stakes. She is by multiple Group I winner Zoustar, out of the former smart mare Solar Charged, a two-time Group III winner of the Kindergarten Stakes and Thoroughbred Club Stakes. The Goodwood is a South Australian Jockey Club Group 1 Thoroughbred horse race for three years old and older, run at set weights with penalties, over a distance of 1200 metres at Morphettville Racecourse, Adelaide, South Australia in the SAJC Autumn Carnival. Damien Oliver
Damien Oliver (born 22 June 1972) is an Australian thoroughbred racing jockey. Oliver comes from a racing family; his father Ray Oliver had a successful career until his death in a race fall during the 1975 Kalgoorlie cup in Western Australia. In 2008 Oliver was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame. Racing career Oliver's riding career started in 1988 and he completed his apprenticeship with his stepfather Lindsey Rudland and Lee Freedman. His first win as an apprentice was in March 1988 on Mr. Gudbud, at Bunbury, Western Australia and his first feature race win was the AJC Warwick Stakes.
