Pinacoteca Domenico Inzaghi, Budrio
The Pinacoteca Domenico Inzaghi is an art museum, exhibiting mainly paintings and engravings, located in Palazzo della Partecipanza, Via Mentana 32, in Budrio, Italy. Most of the collection was donated to an agrarian collective known as '' La Partizipanza'' in 1821 by Captain Domenico Inzaghi. In 1931, the collection was donated to the commune (municipality) of Budrio. The pinacoteca or painting gallery was inaugurated that year, under curation by Antonio Certani. In 1988-1989, the museum was restructured, and the collection augmented by paintings from the Opera Pia Bianchi and the Fondazione Benni di Bologna. Pinacoteca Civica Domenico Inzaghi
A pinacotheca (Latin borrowing from grc, πινακοθήκη, pinakothēkē = grc, πίναξ, pinax, (painted) board, tablet, label=none + grc, θήκη, thēkē, box, chest, label=none) was a picture gallery in either ancient Greece or ancient Rome. The name is specifically used for the building containing pictures which formed the left wing of the Propylaea on the Acropolis at Athens, Greece. The Pinacotheca was located next to the temple of Athena Nike. Though Pausanias speaks of the pictures "which time had not effaced", Pausanias, ''Description of Greece''book I, chapter xxii, page 31, section 6 translated by J. G. Mauro Gandolfi
Mauro Gandolfi (18 September 1764 – 4 January 1834) was an Italian painter and engraver of the Bolognese School. Personal Gandolfi was from a family of artists. His father was the painter Gaetano Gandolfi, and he had six younger brothers, all painters. He enrolled at age 16 in the French army. In 1791, he was then a student of the Academy of Fine Arts, Bologna and became a collaborator of his father. In 1792 he married Laura Zanetti. Work Gandolfi was promoted to professor at the Academy in 1794. After the turn of the century he switched to engraving. Jacques Callot (; – 1635) was a baroque printmaker and draftsman from the Duchy of Lorraine (an independent state on the north-eastern border of France, southwestern border of Germany and overlapping the southern Netherlands). Francesco Brizio
Francesco Brizio (1574–1623) was an Italian painter and engraver of the Bolognese School, active in the early-Baroque. It appears Cesare Malvasia confused him with ''il Nosadella'' or Giovanni Francesco Bezzi, who lived and was active only in the 16th century. Brizio was born in Bologna. Ludovico Carracci
Ludovico (or Lodovico) Carracci (21 April 1555 – 13 November 1619) was an Italian, early-Baroque painter, etcher, and printmaker born in Bologna.
