"Pilot" is the pilot episode of the American comedy television series ''Parks and Recreation''. It originally aired on NBC in the United States on April 9, 2009. The episode was written by series creators Michael Schur and Greg Daniels, and directed by Daniels. Robert Montgomery Knight (born October 25, 1940) is an American former basketball coach.
