Enontekiö
Enontekiö (; sme, Eanodat ; sv, Enontekis; smn, Iänudâh; sms, Jeänõk) is a municipality in the Finnish part of Lapland with approx. inhabitants. It is situated in the outermost northwest of the country and occupies a large and very sparsely populated area of about between the Swedish and Norwegian border. Finland's highest point, the Halti fell with a height of above the mean sea level, lies in the north of Enontekiö, where the municipality occupies a part of the Scandinavian Mountains. Nordkalottleden Trail
Nordkalottruta or Arctic Trail (Finnish: ''Kalottireitti'', Swedish: ''Nordkalottleden'') is a marked hiking trail in the Arctic region of the Nordic countries. It has a total length of and lies along the border of Norway, Sweden and Finland. It begins at Kautokeino (located in Finnmark, Northern Norway) and of the trail lies in Norway, in Sweden and in Finland. The trail crosses international borders 15 times and ends in the south in Sulitjelma (Norway) or alternately Kvikkjokk (Sweden). The trail was originally planned in 1977. It passes through Øvre Dividal National Park, Reisa National Park, Abisko National Park and Padjelanta National Park as well as the Sulitjelmafjellet and Narvikfjell regions. Käsivarsi Wilderness Area
The Käsivarsi Wilderness Area ( fi, Käsivarren erämaa-alue) is the second-largest wilderness reserve in Finland. It was established in 1991 like all the other 11 wilderness areas in Lapland. Its area is . It is the most popular wilderness area in Finland, by number of visitors. It is governed by Parks & Wildlife Finland (the Metsähallitus). All Finnish fells of over 1,000 meters of height, except for nearby Saana, are situated in the Käsivarsi Wilderness Area. Kilpisjärvi
Kilpisjärvi (; se, Gilbbesjávri ) is a village in the municipality of Enontekiö, Lapland, Finland. It is located in Finland's northern "arm" near the very northwesternmost point of Finland. Although Kilpisjärvi is one of the largest villages in Enontekiö, it is still quite small. In 2000 its population was recorded as 114. Like most Sami villages, Kilpisjärvi is built mainly around one major road, ''Käsivarrentie'', or the "Arm Road" and ''Neljäntuulentie'', or the "Four Winds' Road" — also known as E8. Torne River Basin
The Torne, also known as the Tornio ( fi, Tornionjoki, sv, Torne älv, , se, Duortneseatnu, fit, Tornionväylä), is a river in northern Sweden and Finland. For approximately half of its length, it defines the border between these two countries. In the upper parts, the river is situated in Sweden before it meets the Muonio River where it adjoins the international border. It rises at the lake Torneträsk near the border with Norway and flows generally southeast for a distance of into the Gulf of Bothnia.
