Pierre De Saintignon
Pierre de Saintignon (22 May 1948 – 9 March 2019) was a French politician. He was a member of the French Socialist Party (Parti Socialiste or PS) since 1967. He was elected councilor to the Lille municipality in 1989, 1995, 2001, 2008 and 2014, the first two terms under Pierre Mauroy and the other three under Martine Aubry. From 2001, he was the First Deputy-Mayor, in charge of finance, economic development and military matters. In 1998, 2004 and 2010 he was elected councilor the Regional Council of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, where he sat as first vice-president, in charge of economic development. Most of his political career was as an unofficial chief of staff, rather than as a foreground person. He was chosen to lead the PS list for the 2015 regional elections that were held on 6 and 13 December 2015. Since the polls were not good (below 20% for the first step and below 33% for the second), an alleged lack of notoriety had been put forward as a possible explanation. In this ... Dyslexia
Dyslexia, also known until the 1960s as word blindness, is a disorder characterized by reading below the expected level for one's age. Different people are affected to different degrees. Problems may include difficulties in spelling words, reading quickly, writing words, "sounding out" words in the head, pronouncing words when reading aloud and understanding what one reads. Often these difficulties are first noticed at school. The difficulties are involuntary, and people with this disorder have a normal desire to learn. People with dyslexia have higher rates of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), developmental language disorders, and difficulties with numbers. Revenu Minimum D'insertion
The Revenu minimum d'insertion (RMI) was a French form of social welfare. It is aimed at people without any income who are of working age but do not have any other rights to unemployment benefits (such as contributions-based unemployment benefits). It was created in 1988 by Jean-Michel Belorgey, by the government of Michel Rocard (Socialist Party), and aimed at helping people who had the most problems with finding work. The RMI has been fully replaced by the ''Revenu de solidarité active'' (RSA) in 2009, after a transition starting in 2007. Michel Delebarre
Michel Delebarre (27 April 1946 – 9 April 2022) was a French politician who was a member of the Senate of France. He represented the Nord department, and was a member of the Socialiste, radical, citoyen et divers gauche. He was also mayor of Dunkirk. Michel Delebarre graduated with a degree in Geography. In 1982, he was appointed Head of Private Office for Prime Minister Pierre Mauroy. During François Mitterrand's Presidency he held several ministerial posts between 1984 and 1986 and between 1988 and 1993. His portfolios included: Labour, Social Affairs, Transport, and the Public Service. He was also appointed the first Minister for urban planning. Robert Fabre
Robert Fabre (21 December 1915 in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Aveyron – 23 December 2006 in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Aveyron) was a French politician and pharmacist. He was a founding member of the Left Radical Movement (MRG) in 1972 and served as the leader of the MRG until 1978. In this capacity, he became known as the "third man" - the third signatory of the Common Programme of the Union of the Left with François Mitterrand ( PS) and Georges Marchais ( PCF). He was himself excluded from the party in 1979 when he accepted a special research mission on work offered to him by right-wing President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. He founded the Federation of Radical Democracy, but the party never achieved significant success.
