Pierre Bleuse
Pierre Bleuse (born 6 November 1977) is a French violinist and conductor. Biography Bleuse was born in Boulogne-Billancourt into a family of musicians: his father Marc Bleuse is a composer, his mother Anne Fondeville is an opera singer, his brother Emmanuel is a cellist and his sister Jeanne is a pianist. Bleuse began his musical studies on violin at the ''Conservatoire de Boulogne-Billancourt'' in the classes of Jean Lenert and Suzanne Gessner. He continued his studies at the ''Conservatoire national de région'' in Toulouse in the classes of Pierre Doukan and Guenadi Hoffmann from 1990. He obtained his violin and chamber music prizes in 1994. He then returned to Paris and entered the Conservatoire de Paris in the class of Patrice Fontanarosa. He graduated with a 1st prize in 2002, and studied further at the Berlin University of the Arts. Utah Symphony
The Utah Symphony is an American orchestra based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The orchestra's principal venue is Abravanel Hall. In addition to its Salt Lake City subscription concerts, the orchestra travels around the Intermountain West serving communities throughout Utah. The orchestra accompanies the Utah Opera in four productions per year at Salt Lake's Capitol Theatre. Alexander Alexandrovich Vedernikov (; 11 January 1964 – 29 October 2020) was a Russian conductor. He held major posts with the Bolshoi Theatre the Odense Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Danish Opera, and the Mikhailovsky Theatre. Biography Born in Moscow, Vedernikov was the son of the bass Alexander Filipovich Vedernikov, who sang at the Bolshoi Theatre, and of Natalia Nikolaevna Gureeva, who was a professor of organ at the Moscow Conservatory. He grew up with two siblings in a small apartment. Vedernikov graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 1988, where he studied with Leonid Nikolaev and also took classes from Mark Ermler. He worked as a conductor in the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre from 1988 to 1990. Operabase is an online database of opera performances, opera houses and companies, and performers themselves as well as their agents. The Ensemble intercontemporain (EIC) is a French music ensemble, based in Paris, that is dedicated to contemporary music. Pierre Boulez founded the EIC in 1976 for this purpose, the first permanent organization of its type in the world. Organization and purpose The EIC consists of thirty one full-time soloists in various instruments. They exist to fill a need for musicians who can work with new playing techniques and composition styles prevalent in this kind of music. The Odense Symphony Orchestra (Odense Symfoniorkester) is a Danish symphony orchestra based in Odense. The Orchestre symphonique et lyrique de Nancy is a French symphony orchestra based in the city of Nancy in the province of Lorraine, France. The orchestra consists of 66 musicians giving approximately 20 performances a year, mainly in the Opéra national de Lorraine and in the Salle Poirel, as well as other halls in Lorraine. The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR) is a Swiss symphony orchestra, based in Geneva at the Victoria Hall. In addition to symphony concerts, the OSR performs as the opera orchestra in productions at the Grand Théâtre de Genève. History Ernest Ansermet founded the OSR in 1918, together with Paul Lachenal, with a contingent of 48 players and a season of six months' duration. Besides Swiss musicians, the OSR players initially came from other countries, including Austria, France, Germany and Italy. Victoria Hall (Geneva)
The Victoria Hall is a concert hall in Geneva, Switzerland. History The Victoria Hall was built in 1891–1894 by the architect John Camoletti and financed by the British consul, Daniel Fitzgerald Packenham Barton, who dedicated it to Queen Victoria and gifted it to the City of Geneva in 1904. On 16 September 1984, the building was partly destroyed by a fire. The decorative paintings by Ernest Biélier were destroyed.
