Pierre Bernard, Jr. is an American graphic designer and comedian, most notable for his work on ''Late Night with Conan O'Brien'', ''The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien'', and '' Conan''. He had a recurring sketch called "Pierre Bernard's Recliner of Rage", where he would complain about issues that personally concern him while sitting in a recliner. The issues he complains about are typically esoteric in nature and mainly deal with comic books, anime, drawing or science fiction. Biography Early in his career, Bernard did comic book lettering for major publishers, including Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Heavy Metal, Gold Key Comics, Playboy, Warren Publishing, and Blackthorne Publishing. Bernard worked in the advertising and marketing field for such clients as DFS Dorland Worldwide, McCaffrey & McCall, Inc, and ''Newsweek'' magazine doing storyboards and comp presentations. Pierre Bernard (6 June 1934 – 5 December 2020) was a French politician. Biography Mayor of Trébas from 1970 to 2001, Bernard served as a General Councillor for the Canton of Valence-Albigeois from 1982 to 2001. He succeeded André Billoux as a member of the National Assembly following Billoux's death. He was elected in 1981 and held his position until 1993, when he decided not to stand for reelection, allowing Paul Quilès Paul Quilès (, 27 January 1942 – 24 September 2021) was a French Socialist politician. Pierre Arnold Bernard (October 31, 1875 – September 27, 1955) — known as "The Great Oom", "The Omnipotent Oom" and "Oom the Magnificent" — was a pioneering American yogi, scholar, occultist, philosopher, mystic and businessman. Biography Due to his practice of keeping his origins obscure, little is known for certain about his early life. He is reported to have been born Perry Arnold Baker or Peter Coon in Leon, Iowa, 31 October 1875, the son of a barber. He also used the name Homer Stansbury Leeds. Bernard was trained in yoga by an accomplished Tantric yogi known as Sylvais Hamati, under whom Bernard studied for years. He met Hamati in Lincoln, Nebraska in the late 1880s and they travelled together. Hamati taught Bernard body-control techniques of hatha yoga. After several years of study, Bernard was able to put himself into deep trance, so his body could be pierced with long surgical needles.
