Pierfrancesco Chili
Pierfrancesco 'Frankie' Chili, (born 20 June 1964 in Bologna, Italy) is a former motorcycle racer who competed in the Superbike World Championship and the 250 cc and 500 cc classes in Grand Prix. In September 2020 he confirmed he was suffering from Parkinson's disease. In World Superbike he had a record number of starts, as well as 10 poles and 17 wins. He retired at the end of the season. Chili also won the 125cc European Championship in 1985 500 cc Chili spent several years on a Gallina HB Honda, with some works backing. He won the 1989 Nations motorcycle Grand Prix when most of the top riders didn't race due to the track being too slippery due to rain, but was generally upper-midfield at best. The 1986 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 38th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. This would be the last season where the Championship was held only in Europe until 2020. Season summary A second world championship for the consistent Eddie Lawson. After a dominating 1985 season, the future looked bright for Honda's Freddie Spencer. Roberto Gallina
Roberto Gallina (born 4 January 1940 in La Spezia) is a former Italian Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and racing team owner. His best year was in 1973 when he finished eighth in the 250cc world championship. After his racing career ended, he started his own racing team which proved to be a successful venture. He won two 500cc world championships as a team owner in 1981 and 1982 with riders Marco Lucchinelli and Franco Uncini Franco Uncini (born 9 March 1955) is an Italian former professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racing. 1984 Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Season
The 1984 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 36th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Season summary Defending champion Freddie Spencer was the pre-season favorite to win the championship however, teething problems with Honda's new V4 and early season injuries squelched his hopes to repeat. In spite of his problems, Spencer still took five wins. Eddie Lawson lived up to his nickname of Steady Eddie with four wins and four second places to secure his first 500cc world championship on a Yamaha. Randy Mamola also had three wins to finish second on a factory backed Honda. Max Neukirchner (born 20 April 1983 in Stollberg, East Germany) is a professional motorcycle racer currently competing in the Endurance FIM World Championship aboard a Yamaha YZF-R1. Carl George Fogarty, (born 1 July 1965), often known as Foggy, is an English former motorcycle racer and one of the most successful World Superbike racers of all time.
