Picasso is a two Michelin star restaurant run by chef Julian Serrano in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The name is derived from the artist Pablo Picasso and features the artist's paintings throughout the restaurant. The cuisine of Picasso is French with a Spanish influence, and the restaurant is known for its reinvention and interpretation of these cuisines. Today, the restaurant holds two Michelin stars, the Forbes Five-Star Award, the AAA Five-Diamond Award, a 28/30 rating from the Zagat guide, the ''Wine Spectator'' Grand Award since 2001, and is considered to be one of the finest restaurants in the United States. Julian Serrano
Julián Serrano is a Spanish chef who lives and works in the United States. He first gained attention in San Francisco and is now most active in Las Vegas. Biography Born in Madrid, he studied in Marbella. He worked in several restaurants, Caribbean cruise liners, Nashville and San Francisco before being hired at Masa's. He is executive chef of the restaurant Picasso in Las Vegas. Serrano also has a restaurant at Aria named after him serving tapas and other Spanish food, as well as molecular gastronomy. It was noted as one of ''Esquire Magazine's'' "20 Best New Restaurants in 2010". In April 2015, he opened Lago at the Bellagio. The ''Zagat Survey'', commonly referred to as Zagat (stylized in all caps; , ) and established by Tim and Nina Zagat in 1979, is an organization which collects and correlates the ratings of restaurants by diners. For their first guide, covering New York City, the Zagats surveyed their friends.
