Piatra Neamț
Piatra Neamț (; german: Kreuzburg an der Bistrița (Siret), Bistritz; hu, Karácsonkő) is the capital city of Neamț County, in the historical region of Western Moldavia, in northeastern Romania. Because of its privileged location in the Eastern Carpathians, Eastern Carpathian mountains, it is considered one of the most picturesque cities in Romania. The Nord-Est (development region), ''Nord-Est'' Regional Development Agency is located in Piatra Neamț. Etymology The toponym ''piatra'' (meaning ‘rock’) was always part of the settlement's name throughout its history. It is also called Piatra lui (‘Christmas Rock’, thus also corresponding to the Hungarian name of the city, "-"). Sângeru
Sângeru is a commune in Prahova County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of six villages: Butuci, Mireșu Mare, Mireșu Mic, Piatra Mică, Sângeru and Tisa. Village museum Village museum is found in the manor raised during the second half of the 18th century by the boyar Andrei Bozianu, Treasurer and later High Steward in the assembly. The well preserved building is representative for the rural residential architecture from the end of the Romanian Middle Ages. The edifice with massive walls was built out of stone masonry alternating with brick. Mileștii Mici
Mileștii Mici is a commune in Ialoveni District, Moldova, composed of two villages, Mileștii Mici and Piatra Albă. It has a population of over 4,500 and is from Chişinău. For much of its history, the locals have extracted white stone from underneath the village. Several hundred kilometers of the underground extraction site exist today. Some of the shafts are used as cellars for storing Milestii Mici wines. History Mileștii Mici is an ancient Moldovan village, having been mentioned in ancient books and chronicles. Archeological research has found settlement remains from many different epochs and cultures, beginning in the tenth to eleventh millennium BC. In 1870, Emmanuel Brihunet, the priest of "Saint Nikolai" church in Mileștii Mici, discovered some references about the village in old manuscripts, dating from 30 March 1528.
