Piacenza Calcio 1919, commonly referred to as Piacenza, is an Italian football club based in Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna. The club currently plays in Serie C. Re-founded in 2012, Piacenza Calcio 1919 acquired the rights to use the brand of the original club Piacenza Calcio (also known as Piacenza F.C.) from Salva Piace. History Foundation of Piacenza F.C. Enzo Maresca
Vincenzo 'Enzo' Maresca (; born 10 February 1980) is an Italian former footballer who played as a midfielder, and a current coach. After starting out at West Bromwich Albion in 1998, he went on to play for several clubs in his country, including Juventus, who loaned him twice for the duration of his contract, and with whom he won the league title in 2002. Pietro Vierchowod (, born 6 April 1959) is an Italian former footballer who played as a defender, and a current manager. He also represented the Italian national side during his career, and was a member of the Italian squad that won the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Alessandro Lucarelli ( born 22 July 1977) is an Italian former professional footballer who last played for Parma as a defender. Playing career Alessandro Lucarelli started his professional career at Piacenza, whose youth sides he also represented. Alberto Gilardino (; born 5 July 1982) is an Italian professional football manager and a former player who played as a striker. He is currently in charge as caretaker of Genoa, a club he was contracted with on July 2022 as a youth coach.
