Phillip Di Giuseppe
Phillip Di Giuseppe (born October 9, 1993) is a Canadian professional ice hockey Forward (ice hockey), forward for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 38th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Early life Di Giuseppe was born on October 9, 1993, in Maple, Ontario to parents Luciano and Cathy. His father works as a general contractor while his mother works in finance. Playing career Amateur Growing up in Ontario, Di Giuseppe played his amateur hockey with the Vaughan Kings in the Greater Toronto Hockey League and the Villanova Knights in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL). During the 2009–10 season with the Knights, he accumulated 16 goals and 31 assists through 56 games. The Charlotte Checkers are a minor-league professional ice hockey team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the American Hockey League (AHL), and are the top minor league affiliate of the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Ontario Hockey League (OHL; french: Ligue de hockey de l'Ontario (LHO)) is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues which constitute the Canadian Hockey League. NHL Central Scouting Bureau
The NHL Central Scouting Services (CSS) is a department within the National Hockey League that ranks prospects for the NHL Entry Draft at specific times during the hockey season. Players are ranked based on how well they will translate to the professional game in the National Hockey League. It was founded by hockey executive Jack Button in 1975 to establish a centralized database of NHL prospects. Button served as the director until 1979. Its current director is Dan Marr. The Department consists of staff at the NHL Offices in Toronto, along with eight full-time scouts, and fifteen part-time scouts throughout North America. 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
The 2012 IIHF U20 World Championship (commonly known as the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships) was the 36th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. It was hosted in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It began on December 26, 2011, and ended with the gold medal game played in Calgary on January 5, 2012. Sweden defeated defending-champion Russia 1–0 in overtime to win their first title in 31 years. Russian forward Evgeny Kuznetsov was named MVP of the tournament. Denmark was relegated to Division I and Germany was promoted to the 2013 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Canada Men's National Junior Ice Hockey Team
The Canadian men's national under-20 ice hockey team is the ice hockey team representing Canada internationally in under-20 competition. Their primary participation in this age group comes at the International Ice Hockey Federation's World Junior Championship, held annually every December and January. The team also participates in various exhibition matches and occasional exhibition series, such as the 2007 Super Series against their Russian counterparts, an eight-game exhibition series commemorating the 35th anniversary of the 1972 Summit Series. Tom Kühnhackl
Tom Kühnhackl (born 21 January 1992) is a German professional ice hockey player with Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Hockey League. He previously played in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Islanders as well as for Augsburger Panther of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), the top-tier hockey league of Germany. He was a top-ranked prospect for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, ranked eighth among European skaters by the NHL Central Scouting Bureau, and was selected 110th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Jaroslav Pavelka
Jaroslav Pavelka (born September 12, 1993) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently playing for HC Benátky nad Jizerou of the Chance Liga on loan from HC Bílí Tygři Liberec. Pavelka previously played for Mountfield HK from 2013 to 2019, playing 50 games for the team. He also had load spells with HC Vrchlabí, HC Stadion Litoměřice and VHK Vsetín during his time with the club. On May 1, 2019, Pavelka joined HC Plzeň but never played for the team. He would go out on loan to HC Baník Sokolov during the season but only featured in one game for the team. The Bentley Falcons men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts. ''The Michigan Daily'' is the weekly student newspaper of the University of Michigan. Its first edition was published on September 29, 1890. The newspaper is financially and editorially independent of the University's administration and other student groups, but shares a university building with other student publications on 420 Maynard Street, north of the Michigan Union and Huetwell Student Activities Center. In 2007, renovations to the historic building at 420 Maynard were completed, funded entirely by private donations from alumni. Central Collegiate Hockey Association
The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) is a college athletic conference that participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. The current CCHA began play in the 2021–22 season; a previous incarnation, which the current CCHA recognizes as part of its history, existed from 1971 to 2013. Half of its members are located in the state of Michigan, with additional members in Minnesota and Ohio.
