Philippe Leroy-Beaulieu (born 15 October 1930) is a French actor. He has appeared in over 150 films since 1960, and has worked extensively in Italian cinema, as well as in his native country. He was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Actor for his debut performance in Jacques Becker’s '' The Hole'' (1960), and for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for playing the titular role in the Italian miniseries ''The Life of Leonardo da Vinci'' (1971). He was previously a decorated paratrooper in the French Foreign Legion, where he served in the First Indochina War and the Algerian War. Jean-François Leroy (; 24 September 1729 - 1791) was a French architect. For the Prince of Condé, he worked on the Château of Chantilly, the Palais Bourbon, and the Hôtel de Lassay, where he replaced in 1780. Biography Leroy was born in Chantilly, the son of Jean-Jacques Leroy, building inspector of the Prince of Condé, and Mary-Anne Dunu, daughter of the superintendent of the Château de Chantilly. He entered the service of the prince, following his father. In 1761, he married Toudouze Françoise-Thérèse, daughter of the prince's master of the hunt. He was appointed architect of the Château de Chantilly in 1768, upon the death of his predecessor, Brice Le Chauve. Henri Jean Baptiste Anatole Leroy-Beaulieu (February 12, 1842 – June 16, 1912) was a French publicist and historian born at Lisieux, Calvados. He specialized in writing about the history of Russia. Pierre Paul Leroy-Beaulieu (9 December 1843 in Saumur – 9 December 1916 in Paris) was a French economist, brother of Henri Jean Baptiste Anatole Leroy-Beaulieu, born at Saumur, Maine-et-Loire on 9 December 1843, and educated in Paris at the Lycée Bonaparte and the École de Droit.
