Phil Seaton
Phil Seaton (born 4 January 1957) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Originally from Tongala, he moved to Bendigo Teacher's College in 1977 and played in Sandhurst's 1977 Bendigo Football League premiership that year before three years with Melbourne. Seaton then played with Wangaratta Rovers for several years, representing the Ovens & Murray Football League and the Victorian Country Football League in 1981 and 1982. Seaton was runner up to Rod Coelli from Albury in the 1981 Ovens and Murray Football League Morris Medal. Tongala Football Club
The Tongala Football Club, nicknamed the Blues, is an Australian rules football club playing in the Murray Football League. The club is based in the town of Tongala located in the north of Victoria. History The Tongala Football Club was formed in 1894 in a meeting at Mangan's Victoria Hotel, Tongala, with games played at Tongala Recreation Reserve. Tongala initially wore a red jumper with black horizontal bars in 1894. In 1919, Tongala's application for admission into the Goulburn Valley Football League was rejected on the grounds that Tongala was not a strong enough team. The club has participated in a number of local football leagues over the years with great success. Rod Coelli
Rod Coelli (born 23 April 1955) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Coelli was recruited from the Narrandera Imperials, in New South Wales. He made three appearances late in the 1975 VFL season and then didn't play a single senior game in 1976. He joined Sandringham in 1977 and was a member of the grand final losing team that year. In 1981, after 53 games for Sandringham, Coelli returned to his home state and signed with Albury. The Goulburn Valley Football Netball League is an Australian rules football and netball competition based in the Goulburn Valley region of Victoria, Australia. It is a member of the Victorian Country Football League and has won the Victorian Country Football Championships in 2003 and 2005. History The league was initially called the Goulburn Valley District Football Association(GVDFA) and dates back to May, 1893. Clubs from the townships of Kyabram, Mooroopna, Nagambie, Nathalia, Numurkah, Shepparton, Shepparton Ramblers, Tatura, Undera and Wunghnu were present at the inaugural meeting. Victorian Country Football League
AFL Victoria Country is an Australian rules football governing body with jurisdiction over the state of Victoria outside metropolitan Melbourne on behalf of AFL Victoria. As well as administering and promoting the code in the regions, it often arbitrates disputes in areas such as player clearances and club movements between country leagues, and may also be called upon as a higher authority of appeal. The Sandhurst Football Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Dragons'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in Bendigo, Victoria (Australia), Victoria. Sandhurst is the former name of that city. The club teams currently compete in the Bendigo Football League, Bendigo Football Netball League. Wangaratta Rovers Football Club
The Wangaratta Rovers, officially known as the Wangaratta Rovers Football & Netball Club, is an Australian rules football club based in Wangaratta, Victoria and play in the Ovens & Murray Football League. Their nickname is the Hawks. Their home ground is W.J. Findlay Oval in Wangaratta. Their playing guernsey consists of gold and brown stripes on the front and gold on the back. History Wangaratta Rovers were initially formed in 1923 and competed in the Ovens and King Football League (O&KFL) from 1923 to 1929.
