Phil Healey
Phil Healey is a rugby union strength and conditioning coach with the Blues in Auckland, having previously been with Glasgow Warriors. He joined the Glasgow side for the 2017–18 season. Before he was with Glasgow he was previously a strength and conditioning coach for the Chiefs in New Zealand. Rugby union coaching career Healey was the head strength and conditioning coach for Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union from 2003 until 2008. He then joined the Chiefs in 2008 and stayed there until 2017. In 2016 the Chief's Head Coach, Dave Rennie, credited part of the team's success to the strength and conditioning work by Healey and his team. During Healey's time at the Chief's Waikato University's Sport and Leisure Studies students worked as interns with him. He joined Glasgow Warriors for the 2017–18 season along with Dave Rennie. Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union
The Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union (CMRFU) is the governing body of rugby union in Southern Auckland and the Franklin district of New Zealand. Nicknamed the ''Steelers'', their colours are red, white, and black horizontal bands. The Steelers moniker is a reference to the Glenbrook steel factory, which is in the area. The union is based in Pukekohe, and plays at Navigation Homes Stadium. Chiefs (rugby Union)
The Chiefs (formerly known as the Waikato Chiefs and officially called the Gallagher Chiefs for sponsorship reasons) are a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Hamilton, Waikato. The team competes in the Super Rugby competition, previously known as the Super 12 and Super 14, and are one of the competition's five New Zealand teams. Their primary home ground is Waikato Stadium. Until 2004, the Chiefs were the only New Zealand side never to have qualified for the Super 12 semi-finals. Glasgow Warriors
Glasgow Warriors are a professional rugby union side from Scotland. The team plays in the United Rugby Championship league and in the European Professional Club Rugby tournaments. In the 2014–15 season they won the Pro12 title and became the first Scottish team to win a major trophy in rugby union's professional era. The Blues (known as the Auckland Blues from 1996 to 2000) is a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Auckland, who play in the Super Rugby competition. Pukekohe High School
Pukekohe High School is a high school in Pukekohe in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. House system There are five Houses at Pukekohe High School, which are: Day House named after Dr. Paul Day who became an Honorary Doctor at the University of Waikato in 1998. Day is the only former student of the school to have a house named after him. Day was also Dux in 1933, a Jellicoe House Leader [Day house having not have been established yet] and head boy in 1933 and 1934. 2017–18 Glasgow Warriors Season
The 2017–18 season saw Glasgow Warriors compete in the competitions: the Guinness Pro14 and the European Champions Cup. Season overview League expansion With the addition of two South African sides, the Pro12 expanded to become the Pro14 for season 2017–18. The format of the league changed to accommodate the extra teams. It was split into two conferences and matches played in a conference system with the addition of 2 derby fixtures. The play-off system also changed with the winners of the conferences hosting a Semi-Final and each conference runners up and 3rd place teams playing off in Quarter-Final fixtures. For the Pro14's inaugural season, Glasgow Warriors were placed in a conference with the Ospreys, Cardiff Blues, Munster, Connacht, Zebre and Cheetahs. Dave Rennie
Dave Rennie (born 22 November 1963) is a New Zealand and Cook Islands professional rugby union coach and former player who is the head coach of the Australia national rugby union team, having previously coached New Zealand sides the Chiefs, , , the New Zealand U20, as well as Glasgow Warriors in Scotland. Rennie's playing position was Centre. Rugby union playing career Amateur and provincial Rennie played with Upper Hutt RFC in Wellington, New Zealand. He finished playing early at 27 due to a recurring shoulder injury. Rennie played with the Wellington Lions. He won the NPC title with the Lions in 1986.
