Phantom (Betraying The Martyrs Album)
''Phantom'' is the second studio album by French metalcore band Betraying the Martyrs. The album was released on 15 July 2014 through Sumerian Records. It is the band's only album to feature drummer Mark Mironov. Background The first song to be released from the album was "Where the World Ends", released on 28 May 2014. The song was first performed live on 25 May in Lyon, France. On 17 June, a lyric video for the second single, "Jigsaw", was released. "Let It Go" is a cover of the song from the 2013 film, '' Frozen''. The cover was critically acclaimed, with AllMusic contributor Gregory Heaney stating that the cover conveys the same emotion as the original (sung by Idina Menzel) while radically altering the delivery, adding that it "feels like a testament to both the versatility of metal and the universality of show tunes." Betraying The Martyrs
Betraying the Martyrs are a French metalcore band formed in Paris in 2008. The band currently consists of vocalist Rui Martins, guitarists Steeves Hostin and Baptiste Vigier, bassist Valentin Hauser, drummer Boris le Gal, and keyboardist Victor Guillet. They are currently signed to Out of Line Music. Through their previous label, Sumerian Records, Betraying the Martyrs have released four studio albums: '' Breathe in Life'' (2011), ''Phantom'' (2014), ''The Resilient'' (2017), and ''Rapture'' (2019). They've also released two EPs: '' The Hurt the Divine the Light'' (2009) and '' Silver Lining'' (2022). History Betraying the Martyrs were founded in 2008. "Let It Go" is a song from Disney's 2013 computer-animated feature film '' Frozen'', whose music and lyrics were composed by husband-and-wife songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. The song was performed in its original show-tune version in the film by American actress and singer Idina Menzel in her vocal role as Queen Elsa. It was later released as a single, being promoted to adult contemporary radio by Walt Disney Records in January 2014. Anderson-Lopez and Lopez also composed a simplified pop version (with shorter lyrics and background chorus) which was performed by actress and singer Demi Lovato over the start of the film's closing credits. Mitchell Adam Lucker (October 20, 1984 – November 1, 2012) was an American vocalist best known as the lead singer for the deathcore band Suicide Silence. Career Mitch Lucker first started performing music in the year 2000 with the band Breakaway, which would later become the Corona local metalcore band Dying Dreams. Dying Dreams featured Lucker on vocals and his brother Cliff on guitar, along with later Suicide Silence bandmates Josh Tufano on second guitar and Mike Olheiser on bass. Around a year before Dying Dreams broke up, Mitch Lucker was inducted into Suicide Silence when the band was still deemed a side-project.
