Peñamayor
Peñamayor is a mountain range in Asturias, Spain. The peak "Trigueiro", has an elevation of . The mountain features gorges carved by the slow erosion of water on limestone. There are deciduous forests of oak, chestnut and beech. Fauna mentioned are wild boar and deer who coexist with livestock who feed on mountain slope pastures. Avifauna includes vulture. The Pra (Asturian river), Pra River, a tributary of the Piloña (river), Piloña, has headwaters on the slopes of Peñamayor Peak. The mountain is named after Peñamayor Peak, which has an altitude of and is located in the municipality of Nava, Asturias , Nava. The mountain range is divided between the municipalities of Bimenes, Laviana, Nava, and Piloña. The “Subida a Peñamayor” is a road race held on the mountain. References

Laviana ( Asturian: ''Llaviana'') is a municipality in the Autonomous Community of the Principality of Asturias, located in Spain. It is bordered on the north by Bimenes and Nava, on the south by Aller, on the east by Piloña and Sobrescobio, and on the west by San Martín del Rey Aurelio and Mieres. Bimenes
Bimenes is a municipality of Asturias, Spain. It borders with Siero, Nava, Laviana and San Martín del Rey Aurelio. It is situated in the center zone of Asturias. Its capital is Martimporra. It is 32 km away from Oviedo and its main road is AS-25, that runs parallel to the Pra river. The main towns of Bimenes are Martimporra, San Julian, Rozadas, Suares, Melendreros and Taballes. Bimenes was famous of being a municipality full of miners, even though there were no mines in it, but the surrounding municipalities, Laviana and San Martin del Rey Aurelio did have many of them. Piloña
Piloña () is a municipality in the province and autonomous community of Asturias, northwestern Spain. Its capital is the town of Infiesto. Piloña is bounded to the north by Villaviciosa and Colunga, to the east by Parres, to the west by Nava and Cabranes, and to the south by Ponga, Caso, Sobrescobio and Laviana. The area is semi-mountainous with many small, but deep and narrow valleys. History In prehistoric times there were paleolithic settlements in caves in Piloña such as Aviao (Espinaredo) Cave, Collaréu Cave, and La Peña Ferran (Ferran Rock) which were excavated by the Count de la Vega del Sella in the 1920s.
