Petter Eldh
Frans Petter Eldh (born 19 September 1983 in Gothenburg) is a Swedish jazz bass player and composer, who predominantly has worked first in Denmark, and since 2009 he has lived in Berlin. Biography Eldh was raised in a family of artists. At the age of eight he started to play the guitar and bought his first hip-hop album when nine. Three years later he substituted the guitar for the double bass. When he turned thirteen under the influence of the music of Charlie Parker, he got into Jazz. He received his first musical training between 1999 and 2002 at the Sinclair Music School in Uddevalla. He continued his studies from 2002 to 2004 at the Jazz School of Skurup, in order to go to Copenhagen, where the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, Denmark. Gard Nilssen
Gard Nilssen (born 24 June 1983 in Skien, Norway) is a Norwegian Jazz musician ( drums) and composer, and member of the bands Bushman's Revenge and Puma. Career Nilssen was educated on the Jazz program at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium (2003). He was voted this year's young jazz musicians in 2006 with the group Puma. Otherwise Nilssen is very active in bands like ''Bushman´s Revenge'', ''Lord Kelvin'', and ''Heidi Skjerve Kvintett''. ACT Music
ACT is a German record label founded in 1992 by Siegfried Loch. It is a division of ACT + Music Video founded by Loch and Annette Humpe in 1988. ACT started as a pop music label but folded soon after it started. Loch turned it into a jazz label, at first reissuing music he had recorded for Liberty, Philips, and WEA before turning to new recordings. ACT's first release was the album ''Jazzpaña'' by Vince Mendoza and Arif Mardin and featured Michael Brecker, Al Di Meola, and Steve Khan. It earned two Grammy nominations. ACT was voted Label of the Year in the German Echo Jazz online poll four times in a row from 2010 to 2013. ''Pinball'' (released 30 January 2015 in Germany by the label ACT Music – ACT 9032-2) is the 6th album of the Norwegian saxophonist Marius Neset. Background Neset and his comusicians here presents a shimmering kaleidoscopic album of different expressions and influences, and delight with compositional and instrumental complexity. At the same time, Neset sounds more mature, soulful and melodic than ever before. Anton Eger
Anton Eger (born 9 December 1980) is a Norwegian-Swedish jazz drummer, known from a series of recordings and collaborations with musicians like Django Bates, Marius Neset, Daniel Heløy Davidsen, Ivo Neame, and Jasper Høiby. Career Eger studied jazz at the Copenhagen Rhythmic Music Conservatory under the guidance of Django Bates among others, and played drums on Bates' album ''Spring is Here (Shall We Dance?)'' (2008). Within the Scandinavian quintet JazzKamikaze, he participates on several album releases and appeared at various international jazz festivals Kongsberg Jazzfestival, Moldejazz, North Sea Jazz Festival, Bangkok Jazz Festival, Rochester Jazz Festival, as well as being part of the opening of the annual Rio Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. Magnus Hjorth
Magnus Hjorth (born Ola Magnus Hjorth on 26 September 1983 in Laholm, Sweden) is a Swedish jazz pianist, known as leader of his own 'Magnus Hjorth Trio'. Career Hjorth is active in Copenhagen, where he in 2009 completed his musical education at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory. He has studied under guidance of Thomas Clausen, Jacob Christoffersen, Nikolaj Hess, Jørgen Emborg och Maggi Olin, among others. As child Hjorth played the trombone and violin, but changed to the piano at twelve. Marius Neset
Marius Søfteland Neset (born 2 January 1985 in Os, Hordaland) is a Norwegian jazz musician (saxophone) living in Copenhagen. He is known from collaborations within the jazz bands "People Are Machines", "Kaktusch", "JazzKamikaze" and Django Bates projects "StoRMChaser" big band and " Human Chain". He is the son of music teachers guitarist Terje Neset (b. 1959) and pianist Anne Leni Søfteland Sæbø (b. 1961), and the brother of the vocalist Anna Søfteland Neset (b. 1987) flautist Ingrid Søfteland Neset (b. 1992). Career Neset holds a Master's degree at the Copenhagen Rhythmic Music Conservatory 2008, and finished Soloist studies under the guidance of Django Bates among others, at the same place in 2010. Getxo () is a town located in the province of Biscay, in the autonomous community of the Basque Country, in Spain. It is part of Greater Bilbao, and has 77,946 inhabitants (2019).
