Petros Matheus dos Santos Araújo (born 29 May 1989), simply known as Petros, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Al-Fateh of Saudi Arabia mainly as a central midfielder. Club career Early career Born in Juazeiro, Bahia, Petros graduated with Vitória's youth setup, and made his debuts while on loan at Democrata de Sete Lagoas in 2008. After another temporary spell at Rio Branco-ES in the following year, he signed for Fluminense de Feira on 29 December 2009. Petros, Oklahoma
Petros is an unincorporated community in Le Flore County, Oklahoma, United States. It is located approximately two miles south of Heavener, Oklahoma and one mile north of the Poteau River. History A post office was established at Petros, Indian Territory on January 21, 1898; it closed on March 30, 1901. At the time of its founding, Petros was located in Sugar Loaf County, a part of the Moshulatubbee District of the Choctaw Nation. The community was also known as Petross Mill, and was first known as Petros Cut. The name is Greek for rock, and was named by Greek immigrants working on the Kansas City Southern Railroad, who cut solid rock for the railroad's right-of-way. Petros (pelican)
Petros was a great white pelican. It was the official mascot of the Greek island of Mykonos. In 1958, a wounded pelican was found off the coast of Mykonos by a local fisherman. The pelican was nursed to health and remained on the island supported by locals. It soon adopted the name " Petros", as a joke among locals, as "petro" in Greek means "rock" or "stone", but metaphorically "old and grumpy". Petros was hit and killed by a car in December 1985. Subsequently, three new pelicans took up residence around the main town of Mykonos. One, honorifically, was given the name "Petros". Petros Guitars are an elite customized acoustic guitar luthier, consisting of Bruce Petros and his son Matt Petros. They are based in Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
