Petnjica ( cnr, Петњица) is a town in northern Montenegro, and the center of Petnjica Municipality. Petnjica regained its municipality status on May 28, 2013, which it previously had from 1945 to 1957, when it was merged with the Berane Municipality. Demographics Village is the administrative center of Petnjica Municipality, which had a population of 5,482 in 2011. The settlement itself had a population of 539. Ethnic groups in 2011 Sports The local football team is FK Petnjica, who play in the country's Montenegrin Third League, third tier. They play their home games at the Gusare Stadium. FK Petnjica
FK Petnijica is a Montenegrin football club based in the town of Petnjica. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Third League - North Region. History Football club Petnjica was founded on 29 June 1977, as a first sports' society in the Bihor region. During the same year, FK Petnjica became a member of the Montenegrin Fourth League - North. The club played two decades in the fourth-tier competition, but its work stopped in 1997 due to financial reasons. In the next decade in 2006, the team was refounded under the same name. FK Petnjica became a member of the Montenegrin Third League and era of significant successes started in 2009. In the 2009-10 season, FK Petnjica won their first title of the Northern Region Cup winner, which gave them an opportunity for the first ever performance in Montenegrin Cup. Petnjica Municipality ( Montenegrin: Opština Petnjica / Општина Петњица) is one of the municipalities of Montenegro. The municipality is located in northeastern region of Montenegro, being part of Bihor and Sandžak regions. The center is Petnjica. Petnjica Municipality was created in 2013, when it was split from Berane Municipality. Montenegrin Third League
The Third League of Montenegro ( Montenegrin: Treća Crnogorska Liga / Трећа црногорска лига) is the third and lowest-tier football league in Montenegro. It is headed by the regional unions of the Football Association of Montenegro (Union of the clubs - North, Union of the clubs - Center, Union of the clubs - South), under the Football Association of Montenegro. In the 2020-21 season, 30 teams participated, divided into three regions. The top team from each region qualifies for the playoff from which the top team qualify for the Second League of Montenegro. Osman Rastoder
Osman Rastoder (1882 – 26 January 1946) was a commander of the Muslim militia in upper Bihor during the Second World War. He was a collaborator with the Italians during their World War II occupation of Bihor. Rastoder belonged to the supporters of the annexation of Sandžak by the Greater Albania. Early life Rastoder was born in a wealthy family and could afford to be educated first in madrassas in Novi Pazar and Đakovica, and later in Istanbul.They were part of the Kuči tribe and moved to Turkey in 1915 and remained there while Osman returned to Balkans in 1919, to Novi Pazar where he married himself second time. He had seven children in two marriages. In 1926 he returned to Petnjica with both of his wives where he was appointed as mullah in villages Petnjica and Savin Bor. Berane Municipality ( Montenegrin and Serbian: Opština Berane / Општина Беране) is one of the municipalities in the northern Montenegro. The center is Berane. Until 2013, it covered an area of 544 km2, and it had a population of 33,970 at the 2011 Census. Sandžak Muslim Militia
The Sandžak Muslim militia was established in Sandžak and eastern Herzegovina in Axis occupied Yugoslavia between April or June and August 1941 during World War II. It was under control of the Independent State of Croatia until September 1941, when Italian forces gradually put it under their command and established additional units not only in Sandžak, but in eastern Herzegovina as well. After the capitulation of Italy in September 1943 it was put under German control, while some of its units were merged with three battalions of Albanian collaborationist troops to establish the "SS Polizei-Selbstschutz-Regiment Sandschak" under command of the senior Waffen SS officer Karl von Krempler. The Sandžak Muslim militia had around 2,000 men in standing forces and additional auxiliary forces on local level. Vehicle Registration Plates Of Montenegro
Present Montenegrin car plates have black characters on a rectangular white background, with blue strip on the left. The plates follow the 520 mm x 110 mm format, except for motorcycles. The present licence plates format was introduced on 6 June 2008, and replaced the old format (format of Yugoslav licence plates) gradually over the following year. The new format is on par with common European Union format.
