Peter Svensson (tennis)
Peter Svensson (born 6 January 1961) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Biography Svensson received a tennis scholarship to attend the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, after which he completed an MBA at the University of Texas at Tyler. Most of his top level tour matches were in doubles, in which he was ranked as high as 77 in the world. He had his best year in 1985 when he made the semi-finals of five Grand Prix tournaments. During his career he won a total of seven Challenger doubles titles. As a singles player he reached two Challenger finals and competed in the 1988 Swedish Open, held in Bastad. He defeated Branislav Stankovič in the first round, then lost in the second round to Niclas Kroon. One of his doubles partners was Stefan Edberg, who he teamed up with at Basel in both 1988 and 1989. Ängelholm
Ängelholm is a locality and the seat of Ängelholm Municipality in Skåne, Sweden with 39,612 inhabitants in 2010. History The old settlement ''Rynestad'' was mentioned around the year 1600. The city was founded in 1516 as Engelholm by King Christian II of Denmark, who moved the settlement from Luntertun on the coast because it was difficult to defend. As a founder, King Christian II personally identified the boundaries of the new city, granting the city a charter in 1516. At Luntertun there is only a church garden left today. The town remained small for centuries. Following the Treaty of Roskilde in 1658, Ängelholm, together with the rest of Skåne, was assigned by Denmark to Sweden. Stefan Svensson
Stefan Svensson (born 17 February 1962) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Biography Svensson was born in Gothenburg but based in Kungälv. A leading junior in Sweden, he won both European and national championships at various age levels. In 1979 he was a member of the Swedish team that finished runners-up to the United States in the Sunshine Cup. He also made the semi-finals of the boys' singles that year at the Orange Bowl and 1979 Wimbledon Championships. Specialising in doubles, Svensson played professionally in the 1980s and won a total of five Challenger titles. Conny Falk (born 30 November 1966) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Biography Born in Stockholm, Falk began competing on the professional tour in 1985. He appeared in the main draw of the Madrid Tennis Grand Prix in 1988, but competed mostly on the Challenger circuit. Ranked as high as 155 in singles, he won a Challenger tournament at Travemünde in 1988. He also won three Challenger titles in doubles. Lars-Anders Wahlgren (born 24 August 1966) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Career Wahlgren was a top 100 player in both the singles and doubles. He won his first Grand Slam match at the 1987 French Open, beating Guy Forget. Peter Lundgren
Peter Lundgren (born 29 January 1965) is a former professional male tennis player and tennis coach from Sweden. He preferred playing indoors, hardcourt and on grass to clay. Playing career Lundgren was one of the second generation of Swedish players along with Mats Wilander, Stefan Edberg, Joakim Nyström, Anders Järryd, Henrik Sundström, Hans Simonsson and Kent Carlsson that followed after the success of Björn Borg. He left Sundsvall as an 18-year-old and moved to Stockholm, to further his tennis career. In 1984 Lundgren finished the year ranked at 265. Igor Flego (born 13 December 1961) is a former professional tennis player from Croatia who represented Yugoslavia. Biography Flego made his debut for the Yugoslavia Davis Cup team in 1986 as a member of the side which played a World Group Quarter-final tie against Czechoslovakia in Sarajevo. He played the doubles match with Slobodan Zivojinovic, which they lost, then went down to Miloslav Mečíř in a dead singles rubber.
