Peter Portante
Peter Portante (born February 24, 1996) is a professional, American race car driver from Plainville, Connecticut. Peter Portante started his racing career at the age of 7 in karts. He quickly established himself as one of the up & coming drivers in the Northeast with the securing of many pole positions and wins on the Legend Car oval circuit and in the NASCAR Late Model division at Stafford Speedway. Catching the open wheel bug, Peter joined the Skip Barber Race Series in 2012 to hone his race craft. After claiming three wins, and a top-10 finish in the series points, Peter was invited to attend the Skip Barber Race Series Championship Shootout for a chance at a scholarship to become a Mazdaspeed backed driver. Peter emerged from the shootout with a scholarship to the 2013 Cooper Tires U.S. F2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda. 2018 Atlantic Championship
The 2018 Atlantic Championship Series season was the fifth season of the revived Atlantic Championship. The series was organised by Formula Race Promotions and sanctioned by the United States Auto Club. 17 year old Argentine driver Baltazar Leguizamon won the championship by 99 points over American Blake Mount. Leguizamon won ten of the fourteen races while Mount and Atlantics veteran Keith Grant won two races each. NOLA Motorsports Park is a full service motorsports facility in Avondale, Louisiana approximately twenty minutes from downtown New Orleans. Sonoma Raceway
Sonoma Raceway (originally known as Sears Point Raceway from 1967 to 1980 and 1982 to 2002, Golden State International Raceway in 1981 and Infineon Raceway from 2002 to 2012) is a road course and dragstrip located at Sears Point in the southern Sonoma Mountains of Sonoma County, California.
