Peter Peri
Peter Peri is a British artist known for his work in painting and drawing. He lives and works in London, where he was born. Peri studied at Chelsea College of Art, London, graduating from the MA programme in 2003. He made his debut in 2003 at Bloomberg New Contemporaries. He has also shown at ''Art Now'' at Tate Britain in April 2007, the Kunsthalle Basel, Switzerland in September 2006 and his work was shown at Tate Britain's ''Classified'' and the Arts Council Collection's ''How to Improve the World: 60 Years of British Art'' at the Hayward Gallery, London. Peri's work has a personal connection to Modernism. His grandfather was Laszlo Péri (1899–1967), a Hungarian émigré to Britain who was involved in Constructivism before turning to architecture and later in his life to Realism. The Arts Council of Great Britain was a non-departmental public body dedicated to the promotion of the fine arts in Great Britain. It was divided in 1994 to form the Arts Council of England (now Arts Council England), the Scottish Arts Council (later merged into Creative Scotland), and the Arts Council of Wales. At the same time the National Lottery was established and these three arts councils, plus the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, became distribution bodies. Saatchi Gallery
The Saatchi Gallery is a London gallery for contemporary art and an independent charity opened by Charles Saatchi in 1985. Exhibitions which drew upon the collection of Charles Saatchi, starting with US artists and minimalism, moving to the Damien Hirst-led Young British Artists, followed by shows purely of painting, led to Saatchi Gallery becoming a recognised authority in contemporary art globally. It has occupied different premises, first in North London, then the South Bank by the River Thames, and finally in Chelsea, Duke of York's HQ, its current location. Tate
Tate is an institution that houses, in a network of four art galleries, the United Kingdom's national collection of British art, and international modern and contemporary art. It is not a government institution, but its main sponsor is the UK Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
