Peter Furler
Peter Andrew Furler (born 8 September 1966) is an Australian musician, songwriter, producer and record executive, best known as the co-founder and former lead vocalist of the Christian rock band Newsboys. Biography Furler was born in McLaren Vale, South Australia on 8 September 1966, the third of six children of missionaries Bill and Rosalie Furler. Furler formed the Newsboys in 1985 with friends George Perdikis, Sean Taylor, and John James. He has written and produced most of Newsboys' songs, as well as co-writing/producing songs for other recording artists. He also frequently collaborated with Steve Taylor. Furler was originally the band's drummer, but became the band's lead singer after the departure of John James in 1997. In July 1999, Furler, along with fellow Australians Dale Bray and Wes Campbell, founded Inpop Records. In 2009, Furler left the Newsboys and began pursuing a solo career. McLaren Vale, South Australia
McLaren Vale is a town and locality in the Australian state of South Australia located about south of the Adelaide city centre and about south of the municipal seat at Noarlunga Centre. History The township was formed in 1923 from a merging of the two original villages of Gloucester and Bellevue, which were established in the 1840s. Boundaries for the locality were defined on 13 July 1995 for the portion within the former City of Noarlunga with the portion in the former District Council of Willunga being added on 28 January 1999. Land within the former locality of Landcross Farm was added on 16 March 2000. The source of the name has been attributed by several writers to either David McLaren of the South Australian Company or John McLaren of the colonial government's Land Office. ''Go'' is the twelfth studio album by Christian pop rock band Newsboys, released on 31 October 2006. It is the band's last album with Phil Joel as a member, and is their first (and only full-length studio) album with Paul Colman. An EP, entitled '' Go EP'', was released on the iTunes Store as a preview of the album. It featured the songs "Wherever We Go", "Go (I Wanna Send You)", and "I Am Free" from the album. ''Devotion'' is the eleventh studio album by Christian pop rock band Newsboys, released in November 2004. It is a follow-up album to the band's first worship-oriented project, '' Adoration''. The album debuted at No. 5 on the Top Christian Albums chart, and at No. 56 on the Billboard 200 charts. Several Christian artists made guest appearances on the album, including Rebecca St. James, Bethel World Outreach Choir, Stuart Garrard, and Jon Ellis of Tree63. The album's artwork includes photography of the band by Jimmy Abegg on a valley floor next to the Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge in Williamson County, Tennessee.
