Pete Lee
Sanford Edmund Lee (born October 11, 1947) is an American politician. He served in the Colorado Senate from the 11th district as a member of the Democratic Party. Prior to his tenure in the state senate he served in the Colorado House of Representatives from the 18th district. Early life Sanford Edmund Lee graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a bachelor of Arts degree in 1970, attended Wharton School of Finance from 1970 to 1971, and graduated from the University of Akron School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 1975. He married Lynn, with whom he had three children. State legislature Elections Lee ran for a seat in the Colorado House of Representatives from the 18th district and defeated Republican nominee Karen Cullen in the 2010 election. Colorado's 11th Senate district is one of 35 districts in the Colorado Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Tony Exum since 2023. Prior to redistricting the district was represented by Democrats Pete Lee and Michael Merrifield. Geography District 11 is based in central Colorado Springs, Colorado, Colorado Springs in El Paso County, Colorado, El Paso County, also stretching to cover the nearby communities of Manitou Springs, Colorado, Manitou Springs and Stratmoor, Colorado, Stratmoor. Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) is a Palestinian-led movement promoting boycotts, divestments, and economic sanctions against Israel. Anti-BDS Laws
Anti-BDS laws and resolutions oppose boycotts of Israel. The name comes from the BDS movement, which calls for boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel to pressure Israel to meet what it describes as Israel's obligations under international law. The 2022 Colorado Senate elections will take place on November 8, 2022, with the primary elections being held on June 28, 2022. Voters in 17 out of the 35 districts of the Colorado Senate will elect their representative for a four-year term. It will coincide with other Colorado elections of the same year and the biennial United States elections.
