Zinovy Peshkov
Zinovy Alekseyevich Peshkov (russian: Зиновий Алексеевич Пешков, french: Zinovi Pechkoff or ''Pechkov'', 16 October 1884 – 27 November 1966) was a Russian-born French general and diplomat. Early life Born as Zalman or as Yeshua Zalman Sverdlov (in Russian: Zinovy Mikhailovich Sverdlov), the future Zinovy Peshkov was the second child and eldest son in a Jewish family in Nizhny Novgorod. His father, Mikail Izraylevich (1846?-1921), was a relatively prosperous itinerant coppersmith and copper engraver from the region of Bialystok in the Kingdom of Poland, in an area of Belarusian and Lithuanian influence. His mother, Elizaveta Solomonovna Averbach (1864-1900), was related to merchant families of a city which, since the beginning of the 19th century, had experienced vigorous economic development. Aleksandr Peshkov
Aleksandr Igorevich Peshkov (russian: Александр Игоревич Пешков; born 13 October 1972) is an officer of the Russian Navy. He currently holds the rank of Counter-Admiral (equivalent to Rear-Admiral), and is commander in chief of the Caspian Flotilla. Intent on entering the Soviet Navy, Peshkov's education and training were only completed shortly after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. He nevertheless continued to serve with its successor force, the Russian Navy. A native of Murmansk, Peshkov initially served with the Northern Fleet on surface ships, primarily minesweepers. This began a long attachment to minesweeping forces, and after excellent results in training and exercises, he rose through the ranks to more responsible positions, and by 2001 was chief of staff and deputy commander of one of the fleet's minesweeping formations. Nadezhda Alekseevna Peshkova (née Vvedenskaya, nicknamed "Timosha"; November 30, 1901 – January 10, 1971) was a Russian painter. She was born, Tomsk, and married Maxim Peshkov, the son of Maxim Gorky. She learned about painting while staying at Gorky's house in Capri in the 1920s. Here she was taught by Pavel Korin, who also later painted her portrait. She remained living in Gorky's house following his death and participated in turning it into the Maxim Gorky Apartment Museum in 1965.
