Pescado Rabioso
Pescado Rabioso (Rabid Fish) were an Argentinian rock band led by Argentine musician Luis Alberto Spinetta from 1971 to 1973. Initially a trio accompanied by drummer Black Amaya and bassist Osvaldo "Bocón" Frascino, they became a quartet with the addition of keyboardist Carlos Cutaia. Finally, David Lebón replaced Frascino in 1972 and featured on the album Pescado 2. In spite of their short life, they are still considered an important and influential piece of Argentine rock history. They were the second major band of Spinetta, created after Almendra's break up in the late 1960s and a seven-month trip through Brazil, United States and Europe. Although labeled under the band's name due to legal terms with his record company, Pescado Rabioso's final album ''Artaud'' is actually a complete solo effort from Spinetta. Luis Alberto Spinetta
Luis Alberto Spinetta (23 January 1950 – 8 February 2012), nicknamed "El Flaco" (Spanish for "skinny"), was an Argentine singer, guitarist, composer and poet. One of the most influential Rock music, rock musicians of Argentina, he is regarded as one of the founders of Argentine rock, considered the first incarnation of Rock en español, Spanish-language rock. Born in Buenos Aires in the residential neighbourhood of Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Belgrano, he was the founder of iconic rock bands including Almendra (band), Almendra, Pescado Rabioso, Invisible (band), Invisible, Spinetta Jade, and Spinetta y Los Socios del Desierto. ''Artaud'' (; commonly pronounced by hispanophones) is a studio album credited to Argentine rock band Pescado Rabioso, released in October 1973 on Talent-Microfón. It is essentially the second solo album by singer-songwriter Luis Alberto Spinetta, who used the group's name despite their disbandment earlier that year. The album is named after and dedicated to French poet Antonin Artaud, and was conceived as a reaction to his writings. The album's original packaging is famous for its odd shape, which the record label initially resisted. Spinetta presented Artaud with two morning shows at the Teatro Astral on Avenida Corrientes, accompanied only by his acoustic guitar. Each audience member received a copy of Spinetta's manifesto ''Rock: Música dura, la suicidada por la sociedad'', in which he presented his vision of the countercultural Argentine rock movement. ''Hasta que se ponga el sol'' (Spanish for "Until the sun sets") is 1973 Argentine documentary film of the foundational stage of the '' rock nacional'' (Spanish for "national rock") movement. It was filmed in the third edition of the historic B.A. Rock rock festival, which took place in 1972 at the Argentinos Juniors stadium. It was also completed with filming in Teatro Olimpia and the film studios of Argentina Sono Film and Phonalex. ''Pescado 2'', also known as ''Pescado Rabioso 2'', is the second studio album by Argentine rock band Pescado Rabioso, released in 1973 on Talent-Microfón. It was recorded between November 1972 and February 1973 at Estudios Phonalex in Buenos Aires, shortly before the group's disbandment. ''Pescado 2'' was released as a double album, consisting of two LP records titled ''Pescado'' and ''2 (dos)''; and was intended to be listened as a whole, hence the tracks being listed from one to eighteenth. The first edition included a booklet with lyrics, photographs and drawings by Spinetta and his brother Gustavo. The album is considered a classic of Argentine rock. Almendra was one of the most important rock music, rock groups from Buenos Aires, Argentina in the late 1960s. David Oscar Lebón (Buenos Aires, October 5, 1952) is an Argentine rock multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter of Argentinian rock, long considered during the 70s and 80s the best guitar player in the country..
