Perttu Lindgren
Perttu Lindgren (born August 26, 1987) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey center who briefly played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Dallas Stars. Playing career Lindgren played with Ilves Tampere in the Finnish SM-liiga when he was drafted 75th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars. Lindgren signed an entry-level contract with the Stars and in the 2009–10 season, made his NHL debut, playing in a single game for the Stars. On April 10, 2010, as a restricted free agent Lindgren opted to return to the SM-liiga, signing with Lukko Rauma. On May 19, 2012 Lindgren signed a contract with Kontinental Hockey League club Atlant Mytishchi. In his debut season in 2012–13 in November Atlant decided to put Lindgren on the waivers list, from which he was claimed by Amur Khabarovsk. Ilves Tampere
Ilves (; Finnish for " Lynx") is a Finnish professional ice hockey team based in Tampere. They play in the Liiga at the Tampere Deck Arena. The colors of Ilves, green, yellow, and black, were taken from what was then the coat of arms of the city of Tampere. History With sixteen championships, Ilves is the second most successful hockey team in the Finnish championship league, the Liiga, after their local rival Tappara. The club was founded in the spring of 1931, and it played its first game against Tampereen Palloilijat the next winter. In the late 1930s, Ilves won three Finnish championship titles as the first Tampere-based hockey team. After World War II, Ilves started playing its home games at the then new Koulukatu ice rink. 2005 NHL Entry Draft
The 2005 NHL Entry Draft was the 43rd NHL Entry Draft. Originally scheduled to be held on June 25, the 2004–05 NHL lockout led to the draft being postponed to July 30. Special procedures were required to determine the order of picks, because the previous season had been cancelled due to the lockout. The first overall pick was won in a lottery by the Pittsburgh Penguins, who selected Sidney Crosby. Venue The draft was originally scheduled to be held on June 25, hosted by the Ottawa Senators at the Corel Centre (their home rink). However, the 2004–05 NHL lockout was still ongoing, causing the draft to be postponed. The lockout ended on 22 July with the approval of a new NHL collective bargaining agreement (CBA). The CBA set the new date of the draft as 30 July. The Corel Centre was still available but cannot be used on such short notice. The draft was instead held at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa, Ontario. 2010–11 SM-liiga Season
The 2010–11 SM-liiga season was the 36th season of the SM-liiga, the top level of ice hockey in Finland, since the league's formation in 1975. The title was won by HIFK who defeated Espoo Blues in the finals. The title was 7th in team history. Teams * Head coaches listed with asterisk (*) were mid-season replacements. Regular season Each team played four times against every other team (twice home and twice away), getting to 52 games. Additionally, the teams were divided to two groups, where teams would play one extra game. One group included Blues, HIFK, Jokerit, JYP, KalPa, Pelicans and SaiPa, while other had HPK, Ilves, Kärpät, Lukko, Tappara, TPS and Ässät. New addition to schedule was two games where teams could choose the opponents. The Kanada-malja is an ice hockey club championship trophy, awarded annually to the winner of the Finnish Liiga playoffs. Valentin Nüssbaumer
Valentin Nüssbaumer (born 25 September 2000) is a Swiss professional ice hockey left winger who is currently playing with HC Davos of the National League (NL). Nüssbaumer was drafted 207th overall by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Nüssbaumer made his professional debut with EHC Biel in the 2017–18 season, appearing in 26 National League games this season. He spent the rest of the season with Biel's junior team in the Elite Junior A, where he played 20 games and put up 18 points (7 goals) and added 6 points (3 goals) in 8 games in the playoffs. Nüssbaumer spent the 2018–19 season with the Shawinigan Cataractes in the QMJHL. He played an additional 31 games with the team during the 2019–20 season before returning to EHC Biel for the end of the season. David Ullström
David Jakob Ullström (born April 22, 1989) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player. He last played with Schwenninger Wild Wings in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He was selected by the New York Islanders in the 4th round (102nd overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career On June 1, 2010, Ullström was signed by the New York Islanders to a three-year entry-level contract. He scored his first career point on November 29, 2011, assisting on Brian Rolston's 3rd period goal against the Buffalo Sabres in a 2-1 win. On December 6, Ullström scored his first NHL goal against Mathieu Garon of the Tampa Bay Lightning. On June 18, 2013, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl signed Ullström to a contract for the 2013–14 season. Luca Hischier
Luca Hischier (born 16 February 1995) is a Swiss professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing with Genève-Servette of the National League (NL). He previously played with SC Bern where he won two NL titles. Hischier also played with HC Davos and EHC Biel. He is the older brother of New Jersey Devils captain, Nico Hischier. It was won by ZSC Lions after beating Kloten Flyers 4-0 in the playoff final.
