Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Jayapura, or Persipura, is an Indonesian football club based in Jayapura, Papua. The club was founded in 1963 and currently competes in the Liga 2. Persipura used to always use the Mandala Stadium as their home and to compete in Liga 2 for the 2022-2023 season, Persipura use Lukas Enembe Stadium. Persipura Papua is one of the giants of modern football in Indonesia with various league and tournament titles. Persipura is also known as the producer of great footballers from the land of Papua such as Rully Nere, Jack Komboy, Eduard Ivakdalam, Boaz Solossa, Ian Louis Kabes and Imanuel Wanggai. 2013 Indonesia Super League
The 2013 Indonesia Super League was the fifth season of the Indonesia Super League (ISL), a fully professional football competition as the top tier of the football league pyramid in Indonesia. The season began on 5 January 2013. Sriwijaya were the defending champions, having won their second league title. This season was also the first season of ISL organized with authorization from the Joint Committee of PSSI until the establishment of a new league. Boaz Solossa
Boaz Theofilius Erwin Solossa (born 16 March 1986) is an Indonesian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Liga 2 club Persipura Jayapura, on loan from Liga 1 club PSS Sleman. He is known for his efficient dribbling technique, shooting accuracy, and left-foot passing. Personal life Boaz was born in the Solossa family, a well-known family in the province of West Papua. His uncle, Jaap Solossa, was the governor of Papua before he died in 2005. Boaz was born in a footballing family as well, being the youngest of five children. Jack Komboy (born 18 April 1977 in Jayapura, Papua) is a former Indonesian footballer, he normally plays as a defender and his height 180 cm. Before he played for PSM Makassar, he played for Persipura Jayapura from 1998 to 2002 and he went back again to Persipura from 2005 until 2010.
