Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Kendal, commonly known as Persik Kendal is an Indonesian football club based in Kendal, Central Java. They currently compete in the Liga 3. History Persik Kendal, has the nickname ''Bahurekso Warriors'', adopted the name of the first regents of Kendal Tumenggung Bahurekso that help Sultan Agung stormed VOC to Batavia. Kendal Regency
Kendal ( jv, ꦏꦼꦤ꧀ꦣꦭ꧀, Kendhal) is a regency in the northern part of Central Java province in Indonesia, west of Semarang. Its capital is Kendal. The regency is bordered by the Java Sea in the north, Semarang City and Semarang Regency in the east, Temanggung Regency in the south, and Batang Regency in the west. The 2017 Liga 3 season was the 2nd season of lower-tier and the inaugural season of the third-tier competition in Indonesia with the new name Liga 3. The Indonesian football league system is a series of league system for association football clubs in Indonesia. Since 1994, Liga Indonesia is the league competition featuring association football clubs, as a result of two existing top-flight football leagues merger: Perserikatan (amateur) and Galatama (semi professional). Central Java ( id, Jawa Tengah) is a province of Indonesia, located in the middle of the island of Java. Its administrative capital is Semarang. Liga Indonesia Second Division (Indonesian: ''Divisi Dua Liga Indonesia'') is the fourth level football league in the Indonesian football competition system.
