Pakistan is home to several film studios centres, primarily located in its three largest cities – Karachi, Lahore, and Faisalabad. Pakistani cinema has played an important part in Pakistani culture, and in recent years, has begun flourishing again after years of decline, delivering entertainment to audiences in Pakistan and expatriates abroad. Akhlaq Ahmed ( ur, ; 10 January 1946 – 4 August 1999) was a Pakistani film playback singer and still considered one of the leading voices of the film industry. Early life and career He was born in Delhi in 1946 and started as a stage singer in the 1960s in Karachi, when he was a member of a famous singing group with two other artists, Masood Rana and Nadeem. Akhlaq Ahmad was the third generation of male playback singers in the Pakistan film industry. He struggled for many years, but gained some recognition in the 1970s as a playback singer. "Sona Na Chandi Na Koi Mahal" film song in film ''Bandish'' (1980), and "Sawan Aye Sawan Jaye" in film ''Chahat'' (1974), are his big hit film songs. Khalid Saleem Mota is a Pakistani former comedian actor who worked in TV dramas and films during the 1970s and 1980s. Life and career Mota was born in 1947 in Chiniot, District Jhang. He received early school education at his home town. Later, he moved to Faisalabad as a young boy with his family because the majority of his family members are business owners. Abdul Latif Baloch, better known by his screen name Saqi (2 April 1925 – 22 December 1986), was a Pakistani film and television actor. He is known for mostly playing supportive roles in Lollywood movies. He starred in more than 500 Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, and Pashto films. Early life and family Saqi was born on April 2, 1925, in Baghdad, Iraq, where his father had been appointed during the first world war and later stayed there for a while as a railway employee. Saqi belonged to a Baloch family settled in Dadu District, Sindh. His mother was a Kurd from Iraq. His step-brother ''Abdul Karim Baloch'' served as a general manager at PTV, Karachi Center.
