Stipe Perica (; born 7 July 1995) is a Croatian footballer who plays as a striker for Belgian First Division A club Standard Liège. Club career Early career Perica started his playing career in his home-country of Croatia with Zadar in 2012. He made his debut for the first team during the month of September 2012. Vjekoslav Perica
Vjekoslav Perica (born 11 July 1955) is a Croatian historian, journalist and writer who specializes in the modern history of religions in the former Yugoslavia. In his youth, Perica was a talented basketball player who was a member of KK Jugoplastika's first team, but ultimately found academic pursuit more important than his sports career. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Split in 1980. From 1985 to 1990 Perica was employed as the secretary of the government's Committee for Relations with Religious Communities. From 1988 to 1991 he wrote a column in ''Nedjeljna Dalmacija'' called "Religion and Politics", and interviewed virtually all religious leaders in the former Yugoslavia. After being fired from his job in 1990, Perica went to the United States where he obtained a MSc in political science (1994) and history (1995), as well as a PhD in history (1998), all from the University of Minnesota. Perica Ognjenović ( sr-cyr, Перица Огњеновић; born 24 February 1977) is a Serbian professional football manager and former player. He played as a forward or right winger. At one point considered to be among Serbia's brightest footballing talents, Ognjenović signed with European giants Real Madrid in his early 20s, but never became a regular there, despite winning major titles, eventually going on to have an irregular career in six other countries. Rose Mofford (née Perica; June 10, 1922September 15, 2016) was an American civil servant and politician of the Democratic Party whose career in state government spanned 51 years. Beginning her career with the State of Arizona as a secretary, Mofford worked her way up the ranks to become the state's first female secretary of state from 1977 to 1988 and the state's first female governor from 1988 to 1991. Early life Mofford was born Rose Perica in Globe, Arizona, on June 10, 1922, the youngest of six children. Perica Bukić
Perica Bukić (born 20 February 1966) is a Croatian former professional water polo player and politician. He represented Yugoslavia at the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics. Bukić was given the honour to carry the national flag of Croatia at the opening ceremony of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, becoming the 17th water polo player to be a flag bearer at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics. Bukić was educated at the University of Zagreb, from which he received a degree in economics. During his active water polo years, he played for Solaris Šibenik, Mladost Zagreb, and Jadran Split. Petar Perica
Father Petar Perica (27 June 1881, in Kotišina near Makarska – 25 October 1944, in Daksa) was a Croatian Roman Catholic Jesuit priest. He authored the hymns "Zdravo Djevo" and "Do nebesa nek se ori". He was born in 1881 in Kotišina near Makarska. He finished elementary school in Makarska. He continued his education in 1895 in Travnik. After Pope Leo XIII consecrated the world to the Sacred Heart in 1899, in Croatia an initiative was launched with the help of Perica intended to draw Croatian youth to dedicate themselves to the Sacred Heart. A brochure was released to this purpose, which included Perica's "Do nebesa nek se ori", which remains one of the most popular Croatian liturgical songs. In 1900, a Croatian pilgrimage to Rome was held, during which Perica and Franjo Scholz gave to Pope Leo XIII an album containing the signatures of over 160,000 Croatian youth. ''One Song a Day Takes Mischief Away'' is a 1970 Croatian comedy-drama film. Its original title is ''Tko pjeva zlo ne misli'', which means "He Who Sings Means No Harm". Directed by Krešo Golik and based on a novella by Vjekoslav Majer, the film achieved considerable critical and commercial success at the time of its release. In 1999, a poll of Croatian film critics found it to be the best Croatian film ever made. Set in mid-1930s in Zagreb, the story is seen through the eyes of 6-year-old Perica Šafranek (played by Tomislav Žganec). A dandy from Zagreb, Mr Fulir (played by Relja Bašić), starts flirting with Perica's mother during a family picnic. Perica Vlašić
Perica Vlašić (2 June 1932 – 12 August 2004) was a Croatian rower who competed for Yugoslavia at the 1956 Summer Olympics and at the 1960 Summer Olympics. He also competed in seven European Rowing Championships and won eight consecutive Yugoslav championships in the single scull, as well as seven double scull national championships. Perica Vlašić was born in Vela Luka on the island of Korčula in Croatia. In 1947, he began rowing for VK Ošjak, a local rowing club that was founded in the same year. Racing for the club in a coxed four, he had four consecutive wins at youth level in the Croatian national championships from 1948 to 1951 although in 1950 he turned to sculling. In 1952, he went into compulsory military service in the Yugoslav Army, and served in Pula, where he was spotted by Luka Marasović the rowing coach.
