Perica Bukić
Perica Bukić (born 20 February 1966) is a Croatian former professional water polo player and politician. He represented Yugoslavia at the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics. Bukić was given the honour to carry the national flag of Croatia at the opening ceremony of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, becoming the 17th water polo player to be a flag bearer at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics. Bukić was educated at the University of Zagreb, from which he received a degree in economics. During his active water polo years, he played for Solaris Šibenik, Mladost Zagreb, and Jadran Split. He later became the sports director of "Mladost" Zagreb. Bukić is a member of the Croatian Democratic Union. In the 2003 Croatian parliamentary election he attained a seat in the Croatian Parliament. Šibenik
Šibenik () is a historic city in Croatia, located in central Dalmatia, where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea. Šibenik is a political, educational, transport, industrial and tourist center of Šibenik-Knin County, and is also the third-largest city in the Dalmatian region. VK Šibenik
Vaterpolski klub Šibenik ( en, Šibenik Water Polo Club), commonly known as VK Šibenik or simply Šibenik, was a men's professional water polo club from the town on the Croatian coast called Šibenik. Club offices were on address Prilaz tvornici BB. History The club was part of the Croatian First League for many years. Until 2002 the club played their home matches on the pool in Solaris (10 km from Šibenik) but then the pool was closed and there was a big break which took a part on the club. Finally, in fall 2006 the new pool in Crnica was built and the club started to advance. With the arrival of new sponsorNautical Center Prginthe club changed its name to Šibenik NCP. The Croatian Water Polo Federation (HVS) ( hr, Hrvatski vaterpolski savez) is the governing body of water polo in Croatia. It is based in Zagreb. 2003 Croatian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections to elect all 151 members of the Croatian Parliament were held on 23 November 2003. They were the fifth parliamentary elections to take place since the first multi-party elections in 1990. Voter turnout was 61.7%. The result was a victory for the opposition Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) which won a plurality of 66 seats, but fell short of the 76 needed to form a government.
