''Performance Research'' is a specialist performance arts journal published bi-monthly (from 2012). It is an independent, peer-reviewed journal published by Routledge Journals, Taylor & Francis Ltd for ARC, a division of the Centre for Performance Research Ltd, an educational charity limited by guarantee. It is based at the Academy of Music and Theatre Arts at Falmouth University. ''Performance Research'' was founded in 1995 by Ric Allsopp, Richard Gough and Claire MacDonald. Falmouth University ( kw, Pennskol Aberfal) is a specialist public university for the creative industries based in Falmouth and Penryn, Cornwall, England. Founded as Falmouth School of Art in 1902, it was later known as Falmouth College of Art and Design and then Falmouth College of Arts until 2012, when the university college was officially granted full university status by the Privy Council. Back to Back Theatre is one of the leading contemporary Australian theater companies engaging with disability on stage. The company is based in Geelong, Victoria creating its work nationally and touring around the world. The work produced by the company explores questions about politics, ethics and philosophy in humanity. The company originated in 1987, and a year later their first performance Big Bag was put on stage. In 1999 the company gained an Artistic Director Bruce Gladwin who helped nurture company's unique artistic voice with an emphasis on the ensemble's own commentaries on broad social and cultural dialogue. Ong Keng Sen
Ong Keng Sen (born 20 November 1963; ) is a Singaporean director of the theatre group TheatreWorks, which was founded in 1985. Early life Ong Keng Sen was youngest of six children born to immigrants from Putian, China. Ong joined the drama club at Anglo-Chinese Primary School and went on to serve as president of the Varsity Playhouse of the National University of Singapore as he was studying law. A trained lawyer, he completed his pupillage at Singapore law firm Lee & Lee. Ong is also Fulbright scholar who studied intercultural performance with the Performance Studies Department at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. TheatreWorks is an independent international performance company based in Singapore. It is an Institute of Public Character. It is currently led by Artistic Director, Ong Keng Sen. TheatreWorks was established in 1985 by Lim Siauw Chong, Lim Kay Tong and Justin Hill at 72-13, a heritage building that was once a rice warehouse on Mohamed Sultan Road and next to the Singapore River.
