Perama
Perama ( el, Πέραμα) is a suburb of Piraeus. It is part of Athens urban area and belogs to the Piraeus regional unit. It lies on the southwest edge of the Aegaleo mountains, on the Saronic Gulf coast. It is 8 km northwest of Piraeus, and 14 km west of Athens city centre. The municipality has an area of 14.729 km2. Peramaikos F
Peramaikos Football Club ( el, Α.Π.Ο. Περαμαϊκός) is a Greek football club founded in 1953. History The club has spent one season (1986–1987) in the Gamma Ethniki. Nikolaos Petrakis, a businessman from Perama, became club chairman and led the club to promotion with talented players like Vallidis. After achieving promotion, Nikolaos Petrakis had health problems and left. Peramaikos were relegated to the regionalized Delta Ethniki. In Greek Cup played with Panetolikos F.C. and in this game Peramaikos lost 1–0. The last 20 years plays in Delta Ethniki. The club was nearly involved in a merger with Aias Salamina F.C. in 2009. In the 2013–14 season Peramaikos will play again in Gamma Ethniki. Salamis Island
Salamis ( ; el, Σαλαμίνα, Salamína; grc, label=Ancient and Katharevousa, Σαλαμίς, Salamís) is the largest Greek island in the Saronic Gulf, about off-coast from Piraeus and about west of central Athens. The chief city, Salamina, lies in the west-facing core of the crescent on Salamis Bay, which opens into the Saronic Gulf. On the eastern side of the island is its main port, Paloukia, in size second in Greece only to the port of Piraeus. Name The traditional etymology of Salamis derives it from the eponymous nymph Salamis, the mother of Cychreus, the legendary first king of the island. A more modern theory considers "Salamis" to come from the root ''sal'' 'salt' and ''-amis'' 'middle'; thus ''Salamis'' would be the place amid salt water. Keratsini ( el, Κερατσίνι) is a suburb in the western part of the Piraeus regional unit, part of the Athens Urban Area. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Keratsini-Drapetsona, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. Geography Keratsini is situated on the Saronic Gulf coast, northwest of Piraeus and about west of Athens city centre. The municipal unit has an area of 7.601 km2. The coastal area consists mainly of port facilities, part of the Port of Piraeus. Culture Keratsini has its own non-professional choir (mixed voices, SATB). Aigaleo or Egaleo ( el, Αιγάλεω ) is a suburban municipality in the western part of Athens, belonging to the West Athens regional administrative unit. It takes its name from Mount Aigaleo. Saronic Gulf
The Saronic Gulf (Greek: Σαρωνικός κόλπος, ''Saronikós kólpos'') or Gulf of Aegina in Greece is formed between the peninsulas of Attica and Argolis and forms part of the Aegean Sea.
