Per Skau (born 22 May 1968) is a former Danish professional darts player. Career At the 1992 Embassy World Championship, Skau defeated Dave Whitcombe in the first round 3–1 only to be knocked out by eventual champion Phil Taylor 3–1 in the second. He repeated this performance in 1996, beating Eric Burden in the first round but losing in the second round to Colin Monk. He also reached the quarterfinals of the 1991 Winmau World Masters, beating Les Delderfield and Mike Gregory before losing to American Dave Kelly. Skau also won a number of open tournaments, winning the Finnish Open in 1991, the Swedish Open and the Swiss Open in 1993 and the German Open in 1994. It was during the 1993 Swiss Open where Skau hit a perfect nine-dart leg. 1993 BDO World Darts Championship
The 1993 Embassy World Darts Championship was the 16th staging of the competition, and it turned out to be the last time that the sport had a unified World Championship (until 2021). In 1994 following a breakaway the PDC staged its own World Championship for the first time. In 1989 and 1990, the Embassy World Championship was the only darts tournament which had received television coverage, and a group of 16 players (including all but one of the previous World Champions) wanted to appoint a PR consultant to improve the image of the game. They created the World Darts Council (WDC), later the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) in late January 1992, soon after a controversial VHS release of the 1992 Embassy World Final between Phil Taylor and Mike Gregory. Paul Hogan (darts Player)
Paul Hogan (born 30 August 1963) is an English professional darts player who plays in events of the World Darts Federation. He is nicknamed "Crocodile Dundee" after the film starring his namesake, Australian actor Paul Hogan. Career Hogan made his World Championship debut in 1995, reaching the quarter finals. He beat Per Skau and Sean Palfrey before losing to Richie Burnett who went on to win the tournament. He returned the next year but couldn't repeat his performance of twelve months earlier, losing in the first round to Matt Clark. He failed to qualify for 1997 and 98 but did so for the 1999 World Championship, but again lost in the first round to Colin Monk. Martin Adams
Martin Adams (born 4 June 1956) is an English professional darts player who plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) events. Nicknamed "Wolfie", he is a three-time BDO World Champion and three-time World Masters champion. He represents Cambridgeshire at county darts level and was the captain of England from 1993 to 2013, the longest any player has held that role. From his debut in 1994, Adams made a record 25 consecutive World Championship appearances, before failing to qualify for the first time in 2019. Adams was diagnosed with prostate cancer in April 2016, but by the end of the year he was given the all-clear. Eric John Bristow, (25 April 1957 – 5 April 2018), nicknamed "The Crafty Cockney", was an English professional darts player. He was ranked World No. 1 by the World Darts Federation a record five times, in 1980, 1981 and 1983–1985. He was a five-time World Champion, a five-time World Masters Champion a four-time World Cup singles champion and 2-time champion of the News of the World Darts Championship. Per Laursen (born 16 April 1966) is a Danish professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO) tournaments.
