People's Party Of Catalonia (1973)
People's Party of Catalonia (in Catalan: ''Partit Popular de Catalunya'', PPC) was a political party in Catalonia, Spain. PPC was founded in 1973 as from a split of the National Front of Catalonia (FNC). History Its secretary general was Joan Colomines i Puig. The party participated in the unitary organizations of the antifascist opposition in Catalonia, specially the Assembly of Catalonia. The first congress, and legal public act, of the party was celebrated in March 1976 in Barcelona. In 1976 CSC merged with other groups and parties to form the Socialist Party of Catalonia–Congress. National Front Of Catalonia
The National Front of Catalonia (Catalan: ''Front Nacional de Catalunya'', FNC) was a Catalan separatist party which was active between 1940 and 1990. The FNC was created in 1940 by former members of the Estat Català and the Catalan Nationalist Party, with the latter dissolving and splitting its membership between the Estat Català and the FNC. The main goals of the FNC were to present an opposing front to the Spanish State of caudillo Franco and to advocate for Catalan independence. In 1946, the FNC became an officially independent party by breaking its relationship with the Estat Català. Socialist Party of Catalonia–Congress ( ca, Partit Socialista de Catalunya–Congrés, PSC–C) was a political party in Catalonia, Spain. PSC–C was founded in 1976 as a continuation of Socialist Convergence of Catalonia (CSC). It also unified with various sectors originating in Workers' Party of Marxist Unification (POUM), Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSUC) and Republican Left of Catalonia (ERC).
