Pentaport Rock Festival
Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival () is a rock festival which is held annually in Incheon, South Korea for three days in August. Launched in 2006, it is considered one of the biggest live music events in South Korea. The festival covers various genres, but mainly rock and electronic music. The name came from the five main themes of the festival: music, passion, environment friendly, DIY, and friendship. Location The festival takes place at Dream Park, southern part of Incheon Metropolitan City. The site is about 30 kilometers west from downtown Seoul and it used to be a landfill of capital area like World Cup Park. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, after being postponed for two months, the festival was held virtually for the first time in August 2020, engaging around 780,000 online viewers. Jaurim ( meaning "Purple Rainforest") is a rock band from Seoul, South Korea. They had performed in the indie scene in 1993. The band's initial name was Full Count. They changed the band's name to Jaurim in 1997 and became major with their first released single 'Hey Hey Hey' (an original soundtrack of 꽃을 든 남자, A Man who is holding Flowers). Kim Hyung-seo (, born September 27, 1998), known professionally as Bibi (; stylised in all caps), is a South Korean singer-songwriter. In 2017, she signed with Feel Ghood Music after Yoon Mi-rae discovered her self-produced songs on SoundCloud. Early life Kim Hyung-seo was born in Ulsan and spent her teenage years in Changwon. Japanese Breakfast is an indie pop band headed by Korean-American musician Michelle Zauner. Zauner started the band as a side project in 2013, when she was leading the Philadelphia-based emo group Little Big League. She has said that she named the band after seeing a GIF of Japanese breakfast and deciding that the term would be considered "exotic" to Americans; she also thought it would make others wonder what a Japanese breakfast consists of. In 2014, she returned to her hometown of Eugene, Oregon, to care for her ailing mother. She continued to record music and songs, first to cope with stress, then, after her mother died, with grief. Se So Neon ( ko, 새소년) is a South Korean indie rock band. The band currently consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Hwang So-yoon, and bassist Park Hyun-jin. Crying Nut
Crying Nut () is a punk band from South Korea. They are often credited as being pioneers of the Korean punk and indie rock scenes. The group began performing in 1995 in the Hongdae club scene in Seoul. They released their debut album, '' Speed Up Losers,'' in 1998, selling over 100,000 copies.
