''Penny Rain'' is the second part of the fifth studio album ''Sun Dance & Penny Rain'' released by Aimer. It was released on April 10, 2019, in a regular CD only edition and with ''Sun Dance (album), Sun Dance'' in three versions: a limited 2 CD + 2 Blu-ray, BD + Special Storage Box + ''Sun Dance'' Jigsaw Puzzle, a limited 2 CD + BD edition (Type-A), and a limited 2CD + DVD edition (Type-B). ''Sun Dance'' and ''Penny Rain'' were Aimer's first new studio albums since ''Daydream (Aimer album), daydream'' in 2016. Aimer
is a Japanese pop singer and lyricist signed to SACRA MUSIC and managed by agehasprings. Her name comes from the verb "Aimer" in French, which means "to love". Aimer uses the name aimerrhythm for lyrics credits. Debuted in 2011, she has released six studio albums, all of which made it into the top 20 of the Oricon Albums Chart, with fourth album ''Daydream'' being certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. is a monthly magazine publication originating from Japan, covering anime (and to a lesser extent, tokusatsu, manga, Japanese science fiction, seiyuu, and video games). The ''Billboard Japan'' Hot 100 is a record chart in Japan for songs. It has been compiled by ''Billboard Japan'' and '' Hanshin Contents Link'' since February 2008. The chart is updated every Wednesday at Billboard-japan.com ( JST) and every Thursday at Billboard.com ( UTC). The first number-one song on the chart was " Stay Gold" by Hikaru Utada on the issue dated January 16, 2008. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Founded in 2010.
