Wilkes University is a private university in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It has over 2,200 undergraduates and over 2,200 graduate students (both full and part-time). The Wilkes University Election Statistics Project is a free online resource documenting Pennsylvania political election results dating back to 1796. Currently, the database documents Pennsylvania's county-level vote totals for President, Governor, United States Senator, and Congressional elections back to 1796. The database also contains directories for members of the Pennsylvania Provincial Assembly and the Pennsylvania General Assembly, dating back to 1682. According to the database's designer, Wilkes University Professor Harold E. Cox, "No other state has anything like it." The project's impetus began in 1996, when Cox inquired about 19th century election statistics, only to find that the data would cost $1,000. The project has been cataloged by the Pennsylvania State University Libraries and the Van Pelt Library at the University of Pennsylvania. Robert Godshall
Robert W. "Bob" Godshall (May 15, 1933 – November 24, 2019) was a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 53rd District and was elected in 1982. Career In 1979, Godshall was elected Montgomery County Controller and served in that position until he was elected to the House in 1982. For the 2009-10 legislative session, Godshall served on the House Insurance and Rules Committees and was Republican chairman of the House Consumer Affairs Committee. He served on the board of trustees of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, which is a museum dedicated to the U.S. Constitution. Personal Godshall was a graduate of Souderton High School. He graduated from Juniata College and attended but did not graduate from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. Telford, Pennsylvania
Telford is a borough in Bucks and Montgomery counties in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The population was 4,872 at the time of the 2010 census. Of this, 2,665 were in Montgomery County, and 2,207 were in Bucks County. History Founding Originally inhabited by the Lenape people, the area surrounding Telford began to be settled in 1719 by Mennonites from the Palatinate of the Rhine. Steve Malagari
Steven R. "Steve" Malagari (born October 17, 1983) is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 53rd district. He has held the position since January 1, 2019. Career In 2012, Malagari was elected to the Lansdale Borough Council and served in the position until he was elected to the House in 2018. Malagari also served on the Montgomery County Transportation Authority starting in 2013. In 2018 Malagari beat fellow Lansdale Borough Councilman Leon Angelichio for the Democratic nomination. Malagari challenged Republican Andy Szekely and Libertarian John Waldenberger for the seat left vacant by Representative Bob Godshall and ultimately won the election on November 6, 2018, becoming the first Democrat to hold the seat since 1972.
