Penmaenmawr Phoenix Football Club is a Welsh football team based in Penmaenmawr, Conwy County Borough, Wales. The team currently play in the North Wales Coast East Football League Premier Division, which is at the fourth tier of the Welsh football league system. History Pre World War One As ''Penmaenmawr Football Club'', the 1902–03 season saw the club feature in the North Wales Coast League, finishing sixth from ten clubs in that season's table. The following season saw them finishing bottom of the league and not featuring in the league again until the 1910–11 season where they returned as a Division Two club, finishing fifth from the ten clubs that started the season. Clwyd Football League
The Clwyd Football League was a football league formed in 1974 as an amalgamation of the Dyserth League and the Halkyn Mountain League. The top division was at different periods at the second, third and fourth levels of the Welsh football league system in North Wales. The league ran until 2011 when a split led to the formation of the Clwyd East Football League comprising Flintshire teams under the North East Wales Football Association and the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Football League, made up of Denbighshire, Conwy county and Vale of Conwy sides, under the North Wales Coast Football Association. The North Wales Coast FA Intermediate Cup is a football knockout tournament involving teams from in North Wales who play in leagues administered and associated with the North Wales Coast Football Association. Previous winners The competition was originally known as the ''North Wales Coast Amateur Cup'' ran from 1894 to 1975 with the exception of when the competition was suspended during the war years. For the 1975–76 season it was renamed the ''North Wales Coast FA Intermediate Cup'' running until the end of the 1980–81 season. The competition did not run from 1981 until the 2008–09 season when it was reintroduced. It ran again until the 2015–16 season, after which it was suspended again.
