Rhosyr
Rhosyr is a community in the far southern corner of Anglesey, Wales. It includes the villages of Dwyran and Newborough, Llangeinwen and Llangaffo. The community population taken at the 2011 census was 2,226. and includes Llanddwyn Island and Newborough Forest. Llys Rhosyr Rhosyr was the site of one of the courts of the 13th-century Welsh prince Llewellyn the Great. Llys Rhosyr (''Rhosyr Court'') is now an important archaeological site, located close to Newborough. It was rediscovered and partially excavated in 1992, with local activists currently (2017) seeking funding to uncover the remaining two thirds. Governance Rhosyr elects a community council of fifteen councillors who, amongst other things, are responsible for maintenance of local footpaths and cemeteries. Anglesey (; cy, (Ynys) Môn ) is an island off the north-west coast of Wales. It forms a principal area known as the Isle of Anglesey, that includes Holy Island across the narrow Cymyran Strait and some islets and skerries. Ynys Môn (Senedd Constituency)
Ynys Môn is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. Also, however, it is one of nine constituencies in the North Wales electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to nine constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole. It was represented from 1999 by Ieuan Wyn Jones, the former leader of Plaid Cymru. Jones resigned from the Assembly on 20 June 2013, triggering a by-election, which was held on 1 August 2013. Bodorgan Railway Station
Bodorgan railway station serves the hamlet of Bodorgan and the village of Bethel on the Isle of Anglesey, Wales. The stop is an unmanned halt, and serves as a request stop for Chester and Holyhead-bound local trains along the North Wales coast. History The station, which was originally to be called Trefdraeth, was opened in October 1849 and had a small signal box, a small goods yard and a water tower. Llangefni (meaning "church on the River Cefni", ) is the county town of Anglesey in Wales and contains the principal offices of the Isle of Anglesey County Council.
