Pembroke Wanderers Hockey Club (''Club Haca Pheambróg'' in Irish) is a field hockey club based in the Sandymount/Ballsbridge area of Dublin 4, Ireland. The club was founded in 1922 and named after the Pembroke Township. The club's senior men's team plays in the Men's Irish Hockey League and the Men's Irish Senior Cup. The club's senior women's team plays in the Women's Irish Hockey League and the Women's Irish Senior Cup. Reserve teams play in the Irish Junior Cup and the Women's Irish Junior Cup. Pembroke has also represented Ireland in European competitions. They won the 2009 EuroHockey Club Trophy. Hockey Ireland, previously known as the Irish Hockey Association, is the governing body for field hockey in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. It is responsible for organising both the Ireland men's national field hockey team and the Ireland women's national field hockey team, as well as national leagues and cup competitions. Hockey Ireland is mainly funded through grants as well as small contributions from Sport Ireland, Sport Northern Ireland and the Olympic Council of Ireland. Cork Harlequins Hockey and Cricket Club is a multi-sports club based in the Douglas area of Cork in Ireland. The club was founded in 1925. Although Harlequins is best known for its field hockey and cricket teams, during its history the club has also organised teams in various other sports including table tennis, association football, rugby union and tennis. In 2008–09 Cork Harlequins were founder members of both Men's Irish Hockey League and the Women's Irish Hockey League. Annadale Hockey Club
Annadale Hockey Club is a field hockey club based in Belfast playing all home games at Lagan College. Formation The club started life as Annadale Grammar School Former Pupils in 1968. While it became an open club, the connection with Annadale Grammar School, now Wellington College, remained strong. Coaching continues and the school playing facilities are still used by junior teams. Current Kit The current kit is manufactured by BLK and displays the logos of all the club's sponsors across the shirt and shorts. Antrim Hockey Club is a hockey club based at Antrim Forum The club was founded in 1894 and was one of the founding members of the Ulster Hockey Union. Antrim Hockey Club's first eleven play in the Senior League of the Ulster Senior League. Grounds After World War II, the playing pitches were located in the Castle Grounds, Antrim. In 1970, another pitch was acquired at the Lough Neagh shore on ground owned by the then club president. Also in 1973 a new gravel pitch became available when the Antrim Forum opened. In 1972, the club agreed an alliance with Antrim Rugby Football Club. An old stable in the Castle Grounds was converted into a clubhouse and premises developed at Allen Park. Changing accommodation with three hockey pitches, two grass and one gravel, along with three rugby pitches were constructed and first used in 1979. Mossley Hockey Club
Mossley Hockey Club is a field hockey club based in the village of Mossley in Newtownabbey, County Antrim. It was formed in 1929 following a meeting of employees of Henry Campbell's Mill in the village. The club currently fields five men's teams, with the first team playing in the Premier League of the Ulster Senior League. In 1994 the Club won a coaching award in recognition of its work with young players. Early years During the 1930s the Club enjoyed great success in the Intermediate and Junior League. In 1942 the first team won through to the Irish Junior Cup, but were on the receiving end of a 4–0 defeat by Pembroke Wanderers II. Two years later fortunes were reversed when Mossley won the Irish Junior Cup for the first time with a 3–0 win over Graiguenamanagh. Glenanne Hockey Club is a field hockey club based in Dublin 24, South Dublin, Ireland. The club enters teams in the Men's Irish Hockey League, the Irish Senior Cup and the Irish Junior Cup. Three Rock Rovers Hockey Club is a field hockey club based in Rathfarnham, South Dublin, Ireland. The club was founded in 1893. Cookstown Hockey Club is a hockey club based in Cookstown, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is affiliated to the Ulster Branch of the Irish Hockey Association and was founded in 1951. Instonians
Instonians is a sports club based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, that incorporates rugby union, men's and ladies' hockey and cricket sections. There is also a golf society that plays under the Instonians name. Instonians Rugby Football, Cricket and Athletic Clubs merged on 1 April 1962, the combined sections being known as 'Instonians', and then on 31 May 1979 the title of the club was changed to Instonians Rugby Football and Cricket Club. Finally on 1 April 1988, the Instonians Men's Hockey Club joined the association when the title reverted to Instonians. Membership The club was closed to former pupils or staff of Royal Belfast Academical Institution, which regards itself as one of the leading schools in Belfast. Instonians was the last 'old boys' club in Ireland to finally open its membership to all in 1990.
