Pekka Lagerblom
Pekka Sakari Lagerblom (born 19 October 1982) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Notably, he won the German double of Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal with Werder Bremen in 2004. Club career FC Lahti Born in Lahti, Lagerblom started his career at home-town club FC Lahti in Finland's Veikkausliiga. During seasons 2003 and 2004 he represented the team in 55 matches and scored 13 goals. Germany In January 2004, Lagerblom moved to Werder Bremen, and won the Bundesliga and German Cup double with the club the same spring. However, he made only 14 appearances in Bremen's first team and was not able to find a regular spot. He spent the spring of 2005 on loan at 1. FC Nürnberg. Lahti (; sv, Lahtis) is a city and municipality in Finland. It is the capital of the region of Päijänne Tavastia (Päijät-Häme) and its growing region is one of the main economic hubs of Finland. The 2015 Veikkausliiga was the 85th season of top-tier football in Finland. HJK Helsinki were the defending champions. The season was won by SJK, ending HJK's record streak of six straight titles. Teams TPS were relegated to Ykkönen after finishing at the bottom of the 2014 season. Their place was taken by Ykkönen champions HIFK. Veikkausliiga (; sv, Tipsligan) is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country. Its main sponsor is the Finnish national betting agency Veikkaus, hence the league's name. The 2003–04 DFB-Pokal was the 61st season of the annual German football cup competition. 64 teams competed in the tournament of six rounds which began on 29 August 2003 and ended on 29 May 2004. In the final Werder Bremen defeated second-tier Alemannia Aachen, who knocked out defending champions Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, 3–2, thereby becoming the fifth team in German football to win the double.
