Peking Duk
Peking Duk are an electronic music group made up of disc jockeys and music producers Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles. The pair first garnered attention in 2012 with the release of a Passion Pit bootleg remix. Their biggest hit "High (Peking Duk song), High" reached 5 on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Singles Chart, achieved a triple platinum certification and won the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release at the ARIA Music Awards of 2014.. Notable festivals Peking Duk have performed include Falls Festival, Spilt Milk (festival), Spilt Milk, Splendour in the Grass and Big Day Out. History Peking Duk was formed in 2010 in Canberra, Australia, by Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles. The pair had started off in their local city of Canberra. Styles had been the bass guitarist for local indie rock group, Slow Turismo, Rubycon, from 2007 to 2010. "Say My Name" is a song by Australian electronic music duo Peking Duk. The song features vocals from Benjamin Joseph. The song is another single from their debut EP, this time the third and final single. It is the first single from the group to be released in the United States and is taken from their first extended play, ''Songs to Sweat To'', to be released on 31 July 2015. The song was written after their appearance at Stereosonic Music Festival in Melbourne in December 2014. The group adds; "The song was actually written in a matter of 20 minutes. It sounded rough but all the ideas were there, a wrap-up session in Canberra and some tightening up in Los Angeles later and 'Say My Name' was complete." Slow Turismo are an Australian indie pop band from Canberra, which were formed in 2015. The three Conway brothers: Sam (vocals, guitar), Max (vocals, guitar) and Riley (drums), were all previously members of an indie and alternative rock quartet, Rubycon, with Reuben Styles (later of Peking Duk). Slow Turismo released their debut extended play in July 2015 and have followed with singles. The group have toured Australia. Kira Puru is a gender-fluid Australian musician. She is of Maori descent, her father being from the Tainui tribe, and grew up in Cardiff, New South Wales, near Newcastle.
